The Luxury Family Hotel Royal Palace is a boutique five-star hotel located in the historical part of Prague called Lesser Town (Malá Strana). This is one of Prague’s safest neighbourhoods, full of Czech Government offices and foreign Embassies. The Lesser Town also became a UNESCO historical heritage site in 1993. The building was built in the 19th century in neo-renaissance style. It is the ideal location for anyone who enjoys sightseeing or walking around the city. Both Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge are within a short walk of the hotel. The Royal Palace provides perfect luxury accommodation for business trips due to its location immediately adjoining the Ministry of Finance and close to other important buildings. On the other hand, the unique view from the rooms means the hotel is also ideal for romantic weddings, honeymoons and magical holidays.

We chose this hotel due to its location and historic appeal. Our expectations were met on both fronts. But it was the entire staff of the hotel that blew us away! They were very helpful and genuinely cared. Nothing was too much of an ask and they went out of their way to look after us every day! We felt like royalty!

Upon checking in to our room, we were surprised by a bottle of champagne and fresh fruit. The room was full of historic charm with a view of Prague Castle! It was very quiet as the windows are double glazed and the room door is specially insulated.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and we really enjoyed the generous buffet with omelettes made to order and assorted Christmas cookies throughout our stay.

The hotel is located in a less crowded part of Prague - Lesser Town (Mala Strana). However, it is only about 5-10 minutes by foot to Charles Bridge. There are also a lot of great restaurants and bars in the close vicinity.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a magical stay in Prague!

We had a great time in the hotel. The rooms were great and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom big enough. Everything was very clean. We had a fantastic view from our room! The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, with everything you need - only the scrambeld eggs could have been better.

The best hotel in Prague. My family and I were very pleased with the location and breakfast. Professionalism of employees and their good attitude towards us. We also liked the sauna and the view from the balcony of old Prague.

Regret not having done the research before travelling alone for the first time. Arrived at the hotel and found it is no where near a 5 star. First night didn't realize there were bed bugs and found several spots on my back in the morning - thought it was insect bits from outside. Second nights woke up at 2am scratching. Turned on the lights to find there were bed bugs everywhere. Both my arms and legs were bitten everywhere. Called the reception and after 10 minutes a staff came and saw the bugs and agreed to change my room.
Compliant to the manager the next morning and he said this is the first time he had seen this happened (lied, as there was posting in February saying the same thing - which I didn't see). They only give me some ointment after asking several times. It is so bad that I now need to see a doctor and on medication as it is very itchy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - not only there are bed bugs but they have lied about it and blamed that guests had brought them into the hotel.

Bed bugs! I stayed 4 nights and reported first strange bitesfirst bites appeared on my right hand, but they took little care to look in to this and advise me that it is mosquitos. Next day when I developed further bites now on the left hand and on my back. The bites are very painful and itchy, causing huge amount of discomfort. I reported this again and no action was taken - no one went to check my room. I examined the bed myself and found the bug bed myself. Even then little care was provide: no medical help offered, no apology, no official record of complaint since hey had no complaint procedure. Be warned generally this is not a 5 star or premier hotel. Other aspects include rather basic breakfast and staff tat make no effort to understand you - pick and choose part of conversation they want to understand despite claiming that they know English. The only positive aspect is location.

We are sorry, all our rooms are no smoking and as well other facilities at the hotel. The exception is only the terraces of either Ambassador suits or Presidential suite. These suites have terraces and are located on the top floor (stunning view), i.e. smoke is not interfering with other rooms. If you are a smoker We would definitely recommend you to book one of this two type of the rooms. Best regards Sales Dept.
