We stayed here a year ago, in May 2014. We were received in a proper manner, all staff speaks good English and is very friendly. They even helped us confirm our cab back to the airport, and would probably be prepared to help more thorough if the need would arise. Most of the staff is young and eager to do...

This hostel is amazing! It is literally like a hotel! My friend and I stayed in a 4 bed female room. The room was very big and the beds are huge and spacious. The bathroom is also really nice and very clean. Only complaint is the towels. If you don't bring your own towel, you have to buy one there...

I stayed 5 nights at Mosaic in a 4 bed mixed dorm. I was impressed by how comfortable were the beds, with nice and crisp white comforters, doted with outlet for your phone/computer, security box and light. Facilities are definitely on the modern side (but stylish) and the bathroom was also outstanding: large, kept clean. There are lockers available under...

This is the best hostel i've stayed at, out of ~15 in 12 European countries. Twice, the staff were absolute lifesavers-- once, in 2013, when they helped coordinate the return of my lost luggage to me, and again in 2015 when they agreed to receive train tickets by mail and hold them for my arrival. The accommodations themselves are fantastic,...

Mosaic House emphasizes parties and night life. If that is what you are going for I think it will be a good fit. If you want a quiet place and a break from the crowds this hostel is not for you. The 16 person dorm was very noisy until 1 AM both nights we stayed. It was also located in...

Just got back from 4 days in Prague for a stag. This place was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, a relaxed feel and in a great spot if you want to just enjoy yourself in a beautiful city. Everything for us was within walking distance and had the best time. Would thoroughly recommend this place to stay. Hopefully will...

Right in the Center. Bar/club included but you can't hear any noises in the rooms. Even the dorms have new and really comfortable bathrooms. Breakfast is quite expensive (7euros/195krones) but tastes great

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
