We just returned from a stay in Prague and really liked this hotel. The location is ideal as it is a very short walk to the main square, yet it is on a quiet side street. Our room was ready when we arrived, which was a few hours before check in, so that was very nice. The room was beautiful and very well kept. We had two large windows that opened. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The first evening, there were a group of unruly young children running wild between rooms and in the hallway, so a quick phone call down to reception was in order. They promptly came up to talk to the kids even though it was not technically quiet hours (starts at 10pm). After the staff went back downstairs, the kids continued, and then their parents arrived back at the room and were even more obnoxious. We just gave up. In the morning when we went to the desk to leave our key to go explore for the day, the staff asked if everything settled down after they came up that evening. We took them no, and they were very sorry and offered for us to move rooms. We were already settled so said no, but it was very nice that they made this offer to us. The next evening was a repeat of the unruly kids, so we didn't even nothing calling down to the desk. In the morning at breakfast, we could see that the kids/parents all knew each other and there were quite a few, so we are guessing it was a group of some sort all staying there. The hotel was great and tried to address the issue, but even though it was not technically quiet hours, there should still be some standard of behavior for guests.

The location of the Hotel Leon D'Oro is perfect as it is only a 2 minute walk to the old town square but even though it was so close, it was very quiet at night. The hotel is close to most of the main attractions and all within an easy walking distance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. They all appeared happy at their work and spoke perfect English. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, bed was very comfortable and throughout our stay we didn't have to touch the settings on the air conditioning which was set perfectly and very quiet. Housekeeping was done every day to a high standard. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice, both hot and cold and the food was of a high standard. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the breakfast room and plenty of space to move around. The hot breakfast menu was changed every day. The reception staff were most helpful and gave us good advice regarding local restaurants and attractions which proved very useful. This is a hotel we would definitely return to if we decide to come back to Prague which is a high possibility. Well done to all the staff at Hotel Leon D'Oro and many thanks for helping make our stay so enjoyable.

I have spent two nights in this hotel for business. I travel quite a lot for business and what makes this hotel stand out are two things: Their amazing location and first-class service. The location can't get any better - literally steps away from all major sights and good connection to public transportation system. You can tell the decor and amenities are dated but on the other hand, everything was spotless. Breakfast could start earlier (it starts at 7:30 what I found unusual) but there is wide spread and it is tasty.
The reception staff of this hotel are the people that makes the difference for me. They have responded to all my requests promptly and with smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. I hope I will be able to visit this hotel with my family!

The hotel itself was excellent, room was large and comfortable, there was a kettle in the room. The breakfast was extremely good and the hotel location excellent (but difficult to navigate to due to the Prague road system and roadworks)

I would have scored the hotel higher had it not been for their bad booking confirmation and lengthy delays in responding to messages. The hotel advertises Free Parking on-site which is the reason we booked the hotel. Immediately upon booking we sent a message to the hotel to confirm the reservation for a parking space, we did not receive a reply so sent a second message, finally received a reply only 90 minutes before our arrival, whilst on the road, stating, a parking space was not available. This did not give us time to find alternative hotel accommodation with parking.

The hotel directed us to a public parking place 1.5km away from the hotel which cost us an extra €54 for the two night stay. I endeavoured to speak to the Duty Manager who for some reason was not physically on duty at midday. Unacceptable hotel staff booking communication and no attempt to resolve the situation.

I had initially booked the Charles Bridge Palace but had an email to say it had to close due to Coronavirus lack of occupancy etc, and that I had been rebooked into the Leon D'oro. I arrived at Prague Central Station and it is an easy 10 minutes walk to the Hotel. The location is excellent for the Old Town, the Estates Theatre is literally round the corner doing Opera (last night was Don Giovanni) was so tempted to book a ticket but was a bit tired! Lady at reception was lovely, I had room 509 overlooking a church, and I could see the Theatre from my balcony, built in 1781. It is quiet at night and you can walk easily to anywhere from here. Breakfast dining room was beautiful, lovely choice of breakfast items, I will definitely go back. When I go back to Prague soon I will stay here. Next time I will book a ticket at the Theatre (Mozart actually performed here, remember Amadeus!) and stay at the Leon D'Oro, and bring a dinner suit as all the theatregoers I saw last night at 7pm were all dressed up!
All in all, superb, can't wait to return!

I stayed here with the family this week, only returning to the UK last night. We booked for 4 nights with breakfast. First, the hotel is right behind the main square but very quiet. Staff very friendly and all spoke English well. The rooms were comfortable and there is a lift to all floors. Each room we had also had a small kitchenette area. The showers were fine and the maid came in every day and the rooms were spotless.

The breakfasts were excellent and there is a large dining room on the ground floor. The choice of food was extensive from cereals and yoghurt to hot breakfasts and continental items on display at all times. Staff were on had to advise and the food was wonderful. When we were leaving on the last day the staff offered to take care of our suitcases for the day so we could potter around. Great value for money.

After leaving the airport we caught a bus and then a train to take us to the heart of the city. The hotel was about a five minute walk out of the station to the right and across the square and within walking distance for even the most hard pressed traveller. This hotel is really well sited for all the local amenities and about a 10 minute walk from the Charles Bridge and about a kilometre from the castle. Anyone staying here will be well provided for.

Highly recommended for a visit to Prague. Situated 2 minutes from both Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, and surrounded by cafes, restaurants and those fantastic cinnamon bread rolls!

Jana at reception is amazing. Always ready to help you with a smile! I recommend calling the hotel to get the best rates. All the staff and the manager are more than happy to accommodate you.

There's parking in the basement (we booked when they had an offer for free parking) which if perfect as parking in Prague is extremely scarse and expensive if you do find it!

We stayed in one of the terrace rooms up on the top. Seriously.. The view is stunning! You would be overlooking the old town with the castle pride and place, ornate spires everywhere you look, and the Fairytale rooftops as far as you can see. If they're free, grab one of these rooms. The terrace is fully kitted out with dining, lounging and sunbathing furniture. You will not be disappointed!

Well let’s see, friendly staff, great breakfast, great location and…parking! What’s not to like? I would highly recommend the parking at the hotel as parking is impossible in the city. Either I forgot or didn’t see the option at the time, but we had to park about a half mile away in a parking garage. To get around it, reserve parking AT the hotel when you book a room. So much easier.

Either way, they were super cool about you parking at the entrance for a few minutes before n that narrow street while you loaded/unloaded your bags.

First, I would like to commend the staff in this hotel for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Due to the sunny weather during our visit to Prague, we find the rooms very warm. Unfortunately the aircondition is not working at the time, but the staff explained politely that they usually have the airconditioning system on during summer time. Ive ask if I could have an electric fan however the staff said they dont have one, and they will try to find one for us. When we arrived back to the hotel that night, the fan was there already and they even left it turn on, to cool the room ahead.👍The hotel itself is very nice, clean and rooms are spacious with a character. The beds and pillows were also very comfy. The location were fantastic, just only 3 minutes walk to the square which is a bonus. The Buffet Breakfast is really good, tasty and have variety of choices. I would highly recommend this hotel for those going to visit Prague. The restaurant attached to the hotel also serves delicious food and drinks in reasonable price. Overall, its a positive experience and madebour holiday extra special. Will definitely go back in this hotel.🤗

Stayed 3 night in a superior 2 bed suite with terrace. Despite it sleeping 4 it was only my wife and I but there was very little price difference over 3 nights (about £20 total). The hotel recommended the larger suite and to be fair to them you get the higher/bigger terrace (from I what I could none of the terraces are small, ours was just huge). Staff are very helpful, all of them, as it was our anniversary the hotel chain have a contact email who arranged a nice surprise in our room which was lovely. We had room 605 which has a small kitchenette and large bedroom with dining table in the same room, the floor also has a bathroom. Upstairs was another large double bedroom and large bathroom as well as a door to the terrace.
The kitchenette has a hob and fridge, though the hotel has no bar it does have an onsite Italian restaurant and minbar in your room (bottled water isn't free).
Lots of bars nearby and nextdoor to the hotel is a minimarket.
Buffet breakfast with cakes, pastries, pancakes, salad, meats, cereal, and hot selection.
If I was being picky bottled water should be free and terrace furniture was a few cushions short.
To give context to the negatives we have already decided we need to bring the kids to prague with us later this year (16 & 17) and we will be booking the same hotel (and hopefully same room).
Both floors have aircon and electric velux windows, lower floor also has large normal windows.
Pictures I have added are only upstairs as my wife was asleep downstairs at the time !!!!
Downstairs also has a tv
