We were recommended Charles Hostel by a friend and I must admit it was the best place we could have stayed! There was 3 of us, therefore we have booked a private room (which sleeps 4), there was a kitchen and a living room next to our room which could have been used by us with no time limitation. Every...

My husband and I were on an 18 day backpacking trip through Central Europe and Prague was our first stop. We stayed at the Charles Bridge Economic Hostel, and glad we did! It's a 13th century building, so lots of old Prague charm! Follow the directions from the website very carefully so you don't miss it. In terms of location,...

I was blown away by the location of this hostel. It's literally right next to Charles Bridge. The staff were super friendly and spoke excellent English. There were free bottled water and hot beverages such as Lavazza coffee and hot chocolate available for guests. The hostel is part of a tourist office which meant lots of freebies and discounts on...

Where can I begin, to start off with we were given a drink upon our arrival and had a lovely chat with one of the staff members and she made us feel right at home. There are perks such as the free water, coffee, cocoa and tea, the rooms were immaculate and the wifi is great. The actual location of...

Very friendly and helpful staff, free coffee/tea/etc., very clean, comfortable beds, very well located as it is next to Charles Bridge, I have nothing bad to say! The reception is also a "tourist info counter", we arranged many of our activities there. I recommend highly!

Me and my sister spent 3 nights in the female dorm of this hostel. It's definitely one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. It was a huge room, with a massive shower room with hair dryer and straighteners if needed (Extra mirrors are needed though if several of you need to get ready at the same time) The female...

We stayed at Charles bridge hostel for 5 nights staying at the private room with shared bathroom. Our room was located on the 1st floor, which was good because we had heavy luggage to carry. The room was very spacious and clean. There was a basin in the room as well. There are some negatives about the hostel but nothing...

Connected to Charles Bridge with this Hotel. Nice and Service staff, they can suggest your trip and offer special trip to you. The room full of equipment to cooking. There's minimart opposite the hotel, convenience to find out when hungry. Surprisingly, there's ticket machine in hotel, no need to go to train station to buy.

Amazing location, great for the budget, nice rooms and fabulous staff: very chatty, helpful and funny. We hope to stay here again some time soon. There is a black cat sleeping at the reception called wifi (apparently very popular Czech cats name:) ) all the best to the team at the hostel! Niko-Olga-Aga

Recently stayed here with two friends for a quick 3 day visit of the city. Stayed in one of the 3 bed dorms with a shared bathroom just down the hall. Room was very clean with towels provided, perfect for a quick stay. The flat had 2 further dorms, all of which use the clean and functional bathroom/ toilet as...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
