February 50th Birthday trip. Booking the hotel easy and communication fabulous. Checked in and was given a bottle of bubbly. Flight delay meant a later arrival but no problems and the hotel were ready for us.
Delightful room was on the first floor at the front. Warm enough for time of year, a/c if we needed it, heaters if we needed those too. Exceptionally clean, fresh and well set out. Space to move around, store our bags. The large power shower and sink area are behind a modesty curtain very tastefully done. Toiletries. Hair dryer. Spacey Toilet seperate, very clean. Beds very comfortable. Clothes area behind the bed in a very modern space . Fridge with alcohol, water and snacks. Breakfast served downstairs in the small eating area but goodness so well thought out, the young lady down there always ready to help with any queries like the large coffee machine which totally foxed the husband !! Cereals, bread, fruit, toaster, eggs, hot items (changed daily) juice, milk, water, cold meats, cheeses - what you couldn't find to fill yourself up with in a morning down there isn't worth talking about. Honestly couldn't fault it. Reception staff so very helpful - especially Mylka (I don't think I have spelt it correctly) lovely helpful lady. So for a small central clean comfortable hotel with it's individual service and no commercial branding it was a perfect find. It's in a very good position for everything Thank you JUNGMANN xxx

We stayed here this past weekend on our visit to Prague and loved it! Super friendly staff ar check-in really set the tone for this convenient, centrally located bolt-hole. Ideally located to explore Prague it's really close to the metro station and some of the main points of interest. The twin room we had was light, airy and spacious with clean linen and fresh towels each day as well as toiletries and hairdryer. The bed and the pillows were super comfy too. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice and just enough to set you up for a day sightseeing. On check out they stored our luggage and arranged an airport transport for us too. The only slight downside was our room overlooked the adjoining pedestrian street which has a 24 hour bar where patrons occasionally came outside to smoke and were a bit loud so if you're a light sleeper you might want to take earplugs, but it wasn't majorly off-putting. Would highly recommend this hotel and very much hope to go back and stay there again 👍

This is a great centrally located hotel! Easy walk in all directions to any of the multiple sites you plan to see while in Prague. In addition, the subway system is just steps from the front entrance of the hotel. The hotel set up our transportation to and from the airport; 25 euro cost one way. The room is large and simply furnished, plenty of space for luggage. One of the biggest rooms I have occupied in travels around Europe! We were able to experience a city view from the rooftop access of the hotel, they have patio furniture for relaxing; this would be a great place to hangout after a long day of enjoying the city. The breakfast was very good: cheese, ham, tomatoes, cucumber plate along with various fruit, breads, and eggs to order. The individuals working the front desk are hospitable, friendly, and speak great English! They were willing to guide us with directions, and help us in any way to create the best trip in Prague. Highly recommend!

The Jungmann Hotel is situated perfectly for central Prague. The staff were courteous and the rooms were of a good size, modern and clean. The gentleman on reception also gave us a contact number we could WhatsApp if we had any questions which was a nice touch.

Despite the good size of the room, the hotel did have a cramped feel to it. You entered via the little coffee shop and shuffled by reception to a lift which took you to the floor your room was on. The only other direction you can go is to breakfast which was in the basement. This was very cramped. When we were there, it was very difficult to move around as there were too many guests in area at one time.

The actual breakfast was average. The hot selection was very poor, the cold selection very good and the coffee machine needed a Phd in mechanical engineering to operate. Additionally, when you enter in the breakfast area you pass by an area with dirty pots and plates which seemed a little odd.

The downside of the central location was the noise outside in the early hours. On both nights we were awoken to drunken shouting. Admittedly there is nothing the hotel can do about this but it is worth noting there is a lot of walking traffic outside from bars etc. We were also woken by an incorrect fire alarm, at the hotel, which wasn’t helpful.

Overall I think the hotel is fine although, perhaps, the 4 star rating is a little flattering.

This small, cozy hotel is centrally located and makes everything easily accessible. The rooms are spacious and the few options in the breakfast buffet are simply delicious. Most importantly, at this hotel they treat you like family. I had made a reservation two years ago, but was unable to travel due to the pandemic. Two years later I used the original reservation, including my wife this time and they also chipped in Airport transfer. We had a great time and this hotel will be my only option everytime we travel to Prague

Great location, and great vibe to the hotel. The reception were a huge help as i had trouble getting a uber to the airport and saved me a lot of stress. The late check-in was easy with the instructions provided too

Only 2 minor issues, could get noisy at night and the breakfast was not the most varied. The last point i can understand as its a small hotel so unless they want to end up wasting food they need to minimise whats fresh and on offer.

Would happily stay again

This is a real gem in the centre of Prague. A boutique hotel with beautifully appointed rooms, a good breakfast and hotel bar and friendly staff.
Great location, good value for money.

Hotel is next to metro station (Prague Airport can be reached from there by metro and bus; one step-over in about 45-60 minutes). City Centre and major Prague sights easily accessible on foot. Shopping area at your fingertips. Countless bars and restaurants nearby.

The staff were very nice and friendly, I was welcomed with a smile and breakfast felt very cosy. Jacob at the help desk was very attentive and I’m glad he was there when needed! The shower area is a bit of a weird concept to me and there are no wardrobes, so I recommend to go as a couple or close friends. The hotel looked lovely despite those things, and a cosy cafe/bar by the entrance. Very close to everything, a bunch of restaurants and bars around there that are cheaper than right in the centre. Christmas spirit was activated as soon as we saw the Christmas markets (which started from around the corner) and the beautiful scenery of the old town.

Nice breakfast, very modern and clean room, service was perfect and friendly. A pleasure!
Only thing to critisize: it would be nice to be asked what one wants to eat for breakfast, because there was much on the plate that we did not want to eat and it will all be throuwn away in the end ... So maby ask first because of vegetarians or so ...
Also there were no tv chanells in diferent languages, but ok - thats all no problems! It was really nice and I would recomment it to every one! The price was very good.

Clean big rooms that gets cleaned every day. Lovely interior and furniture in the room. Staff was really helping and nice. Location in the middle of the town with walking distance to many tourist attraction. Metro just 10 m from the hotel. Downside was that our room had a night club on the street below so we didn't get much sleep. Loud people and music all night! But if you manage to get a room on the other side of the hotel it should be fine.

Dear Sandra, thank you very much for taking time and writing such a nice review. We are happy, you have enjoyed staying in our hotel and you had a good time in Prague. Sometimes it happens that the bar is open until 5am if a large group of tourists is interested. Our hotel is located in the center and yes, here are also restaurants and bars. But we are happy you were satisfied otherwise. It will be our pleasure to welcome you one day again! Mirka, Hotel Jungmann

Which rooms do NOT have a separate shower room? Which rooms have a proper bathroom with a door?
Answer from James

Hello. This question is best asked directly to the hotel, they will answer back. My wife and I stayed in room 101, which is the only room with a balcony. To describe the room, as you walk in the entry door, immediately to the right is a separate toilet room, which also has a small sink and shower head. This room has a door. Past that, and again to the right is a large sink and counter, then on the left wall is a large glass shower. There is no bath tub. The shower and sink is not separated from the bed, but there is a curtain to separate the shower area from the sleeping area if you required that. The pictures on the website are pretty accurate.
