We are just finished a stay at the Maximilian Hotel and have had a wonderful time! The staff is gracious and the rooms well decorated, very clean and for Europe very spacious. The breakfast in the morning has so many choices and is much better than the "free" breakfasts that one can get at some of the hotels in the...

The Maximilian Hotel is a gem in Prague. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service was exceptional. All staff members were attentive and responsive to any need without being solicitous, and the entire hotel was immaculate. The breakfast buffet was, arguably, the best we've had anywhere, and we have traveled a lot. Likewise, the afternoon...

Booked on the advice of a travel guide and wasn't disappointed. Older building, but rooms completely remodeled and modern, with excellent wifi and lots of electronic conveniences and Euromodern touches. Staff was outstanding, spoke good English, and the breakfast was tasty. Easy walking distance to most museums and historical sites, and a decent selection of nearby cafes, bars, and food....

Perfect location, comfort and space in the bedroom, very good level in the breakfast, with helpful service. We stayed at the Maximilian for three days, the second day was my birthday and a nice cake and a bottle of Champagne were waiting for us in the bedroom in the evening. Quiet to rest, five minutes from the historic center, functional...

Me and a friend stayed at the Maximilian hotel for three nights. The first night was terrible, it was freezing cold so we called the reception and asked for an extra blanket, and after a few minutes they nocked on our door with one tiny mattress sheet, so we asked again for a blanket, the guy at the reception said...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
