This was my second visit to Prague and this time I wanted to be located close to the centre with everything this city offers. This hotel looks pretty standard from the outside (functional, not pretty) but once you are through the doors, the welcome was warm, friendly with plenty of information from the receptionist both verbally and with lots of...

Me and partner stayed here for 4 nights in November. Hotel was excellent, nice spacious room, plenty of places to eat around there, as well as the local supermarkets. Hotel staff extremely friendly and offer advice about the city. Breakfast was nice, small selection of cooked meats, cheeses and hot food (eggs, sausages, bacon, pancakes). At nights, there is some...

My husband and I have just spent a few days here, it was lovely, great staff, great bar staff, and the breakfast was adequate with a good variety. It is close too most amenities, and quiet at night. The room was good, not too small and the bathroom was clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was great in terms of location and view. The view was stunning at night and it was only a few minutes away from the old town square. However, when we got into the room we noticed that there were a few holes in the sheets and the drapes. There wasn't any tea or coffee in the room and...

Pretty average hotel only saved from less by a decent breakfast . Rooms are adequate but considering the temperature outside, heating was conspicuous by its absence. Location is reasonable. Only a 5 minute walk to the old square and some impressive sights. The hotel bar had one choice of red wine which was Czech but was a poor Czech! The...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
