Was really a great place to stay. Is not luxurious but has all the amenities anyone could want. The staff is really nice and helpful, the breakfasts were nice. they give you sparkling wine when you arrive. I loved the "old-fashioned" keys which you turn in to the desk when you leave the hotel. Reminded me of my past travels...

Location is perfect (close to everything, but quiet). Room was lovely (spotless and well appointed). Rooms were well air conditioned (and that was needed during our stay). Breakfast...yum! Croissants were perfection (not filled, but buttery and lightly sprinkled with powder sugar). They also do crepes and omalets to order! Really great spread of options. Staff was efficient and very helpful....

First, the service: I really couldn't ask for more pleasant staff. They happily recomended when we asked about restaurants or entertainment. They were helpful and quick when we needed their assistance. Also, breakfast is great. Every day there is some other hot dish and you also can order a pancake or omlette at your choice. Design of the hotel is...

Unitas was a convenient hotel in the Old Town. They arranged seamless transfers and painless check-in/check-out. Very good breakfast - friendly staff. They advised us of the public transport options and recommended restaurants and bars nearby.

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely hotel with lots of history. All the staff were all friendly, helpful & welcoming. The extra touches were great – sparkling wine on arrival, complimentary bottled water & late each afternoon appetisers & drinks in the lobby. On each floor there is a tea/coffee making station & there are DVDs & books...

We were pleasantly surprised by the Unitas. I generally prefer staying at newer hotels in order to avoid the plumbing, heating, acoustic and electrical problems that often plague quainter, renovated hotels. We nevertheless chose the Unitas based largely on the positive reviews in TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. The hotel was very comfortable, had all the amenities we wanted,...

You can believe everything the other positive reviews say: clean and comfortable rooms, very helpful staff, nice amenities, wonderful location--and great history: former (and current) convent, turned Communist secret police headquarters, Vaclav Havel imprisoned there. If we return to Prague we will stay there again.

This is a fabulous hotel. The service is wonderful and the staff is welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are modern and clean and the hotel is located on a quiet side side street within walking distance to old town, Wenceslaus Square and the tram. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Unitas and recommend it highly.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
