I stayed here with friends. The hotel staff are incredible. They gave us the BEST recommendations for restaurants and more. I emailed the hotel twice to modify my reservation and they always responded immediately - it was so nice not to have to make a phone call to Prague from the states. The breakfast is INCREDIBLE. Everything is in walking...

The Hotel Josef is a great place to stay when visiting Prague. It is close to Old Town and tons of eateries and pubs. Really we can be at the Anatomical clock in 5 minutes. The roll away bed that i requested was in the room when we got there! It is clean and comfortable. Now I will say the...

We stayed at Hotel Josef for 3 nights in Oct 2012. The hotel is located at very convenient spot, at short walking distance to all city highlights. Breakfast is exceptional (probably everyone said it already). Staffs (in breakfast room, front and maid) are so friendly and helpful. The price is good. Really worth the value. Really love it. I recommend...

Great modern, comfortable, and highly functional hotel located in a great area of historic Prague. Close enough to the craziness of Old Town Square and all the major sites, but in a good area with great shops and restaurants catering to well heeled locals. The rooms are big and well appointed. Very basic design, but very comfortable. The wifi is...

We booked 4 nights at Hotel Josef in one of the top floor balcony rooms. Breakfast, location, service and rooms were excellent. Make sure if you reserve a specific room like we did that it is indeed available. Our first night, the room was not available and we stayed in the sister hotel down the street. The hotel was extremely...

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights in mid September. We had only positive experiences. Customer service is terrific. What ever we needed, or any questions we had were very quickly addressed by the friendly staff. Secondly, the rooms are very clean, modern and efficient. I would suggest magnifying mirrors for women to put on make up, but that...

I chose Hotel Josef based on other good reviews and we were not disappointed. The standard room was more spacious than I thought it would be. It's a good choice if you're concerned about travelling with extra luggage. The bathroom was clean and the shower was perfect - I love rain shower heads! They have Aveda so you don't really...

Based on reviews we read in Trip Advisor, we booked our 3 night stay in Prague in October at Hotel Josef, and we didn't regret it. The hotel is very centrally located in the old city, on a quiet side street less than a 5 minute walk from the Town Square. If you're looking for a modern hotel in the...

Greeted by friendly staff, who were happy to help with any queries and to help us find interesting places to see throughout Prague. The hotel itself is a beautiful design, the room clean and in good condition. Great location in Old Town making it accessable to a majority of attractions, pubs and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
