Situated 10 minutes walk from Wencelas Square and 15/20 minutes from the Vltava river lies this hotel. I stayed there as a single female traveller and felt really comfortable. The staff were really helpful and what they didn't know found out quickly or printed things off the internet for me. I didn't spend a lot of time in my room...

We got a great deal on this hotel, but had to pay the price in not being as close to the big sites and we would have liked. Any sort of public transportation was about a 15 minute walk. The upside is the hotel is in what seemed to be a nice neighborhood. Overall it was a good value, we...

Dear Guest. We appreciate the time you took to write the review. Our hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, within walking distance to the city center. The closest tram stop Bruselská is about 3 minutes walk from the hotel and the subway station Náměstí Míru about 5-7 minutes. Thank you for your comment. We are happy you liked...

The Ametyst Hotel is a little outside the centre, but well worth the 10 minute walk to Wencelas Square. The service is of the highest standard, and the staff are friendly and extremely efficient and helpful. We would highly recommend this Hotel and if visiting Prague would definetly return to the Ametyst. Evelyn (Renfrew)

Good Things: 1. Great Value at discount otherwise would look elsewhere i.e. 70% of from Rack Rate) 2.The Hotel is in a very quiet location, with a number of local eating establishments and shops nearby. 3. If you enjoy a relaxed walk into the centre then it is ideal and felt very safe. Note: It says a ten minute walk...

Dear Guest, thank you for your opinion about our hotel. I have to say that we have more types of rooms. Standard rooms are smaller than superior and deluxe rooms. Taxi cabs have always been a problem for tourists in Prague. Unfortunatelly the drivers are counting on the tourist‘s unknowledge of the area. That’s why we highly recommend to all...

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time. The staff were very patient and helpful. breakfast was good - a selection of breads, ham and cheeses as well as fruit, yoghurt, eggs and cereals and some local dishes. The restaurants and bars near by are good and trams and metro are close to get to centre of...

This hotel does not deserve it's four star status. Reasons: the ridiculous amount of noise coming from the breakfast room in the morning/stairwell, the fridge light eluminating the entire room (only thing we could do was over it with a jacket), the vibrating noise in between room doors, the constant flashing on the phone, the SINGLE beds for a COUPLE....

Dear madam. Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay that much. Our rooms are different and have different attributes. The one you stood in is unfortunatelly located right above the breakfast room. The fridge light could have been easily switched off. It is a shame you did not call the reception desk with...

Ametyst Hotel was situated a bit outside the city centre, but within a few minutes walk of both the metro and trams, so we had no trouble getting anywhere we wanted in the city. I stayed at the Ametyst for 4 days in early August in a triple room with my 2 teenage sons. We were on the top floor and I have to say this was quite possibly the quietest room I've ever stopped in. Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighbourhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighbourhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
