I've seen reviews saying rooms were spotless and in this hotel they really are. Location is perfect with a short walk to anywhere, but having peaceful place in the end of the street. Breakfast is good enough, though variety good be bigger. Friendly staff was always eager to help and advice. As said, this hotel is excellent choice for the...

Bishop's House was one of the highlights of our recent European trip. The hotel is artfully updated with sleek, super modern furniture and decor. The rooms are large, comfortable and quiet. The free breakfast was quite a feast! It featured a mix of German, Czech, Italian and American breakfast items, everything fresh and high quality. The best part of our...

After flying L.A. to Vienna and then taking the train to Prague, where we had never been before, what a fabulous welcome to find ourselves at Hotel Bishop's House! The location is absolutely perfect! Situated in the shadow of the St. Charles Bridge tower, it's a nice walk toward either the castle or old town. Despite being there during cold...

Once again back to this wonderful hotel. Came this time with 6 other members of the family to celebrate my husband's 60th. The staff were exceptional nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was an excellent choice. Emailed the hotel before arriving to request the rooms we wanted and this was duely done. My family were very impressed and have no hesitation...

Bishop's House has an amazing location near the Charles Bridge, which makes it easy to get to any tourist locations in Prague. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcomed guests with a lovely glass of Prosecco! The style is modern, the room was clean, and breakfast was great. I enjoyed my stay and would gladly stay again!

As seemed to be the theme with Prague, the service was solicitous and excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating with excellent English (I also heard French, Italian, and I believe Russian spoken). The hotel was extremely clean and modern (not to my style but many would like it I'm sure). Overall the experience at the Bishop's House was a...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
