The hotel was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location for the sites to see in Prague. The staff were pleasant and helpful and kindly gave us a room upgrade on our arrival to ensure we had a relaxing stay. The junior suite had ample space and a very comfortable bed. The room was spotless and was kept exceptionally clean...

This hotel is well located but the rooms are quite run down. Breakfast is in the basement and is ok. There is noise on the street from a club below the rooms which gets quite loud. We decided to leave this hotel because we really were not happy with it. We booked through Booking.com for four nights and left after...

This hotel is located very central, close to Karlov Must and all the other attractions in Prague. Rooms are clean and spacious. No trouble with noise from the bar downstairs. Good experience. Only drawback is the breakfast room, which is located downstairs. It is not very cosy. But ok.

A nice room, helpful staff, and good breakfast all for a reasonable price right off the main drag from the Charles Bridge. We wouldn't choose this location again as the area is very busy with tourists and the main drag is a bit tacky, but the hotel was good value.

My partner and I stayed here on recommendation from family. Very happy that we did! The location is amazing; a two minute walk from the bridge. I requested a high room, our friends also staying requested a low room and we were both accommodated. The bar underneath the hotel serves good quality breakfast (included) and is a great setting to...

Went for a weekend to the Charles hotel, as we have stayed there before, in a great position 100 yards or so from Charles Bridge and its a good location for walking to all parts of Prague. Its in the 'lesser town area, the old town is five minutes away and the castle area and lookout tower are only a...

I wish I had read the Trip Advisor reviews before we booked (which we usually do). Arrived Friday afternoon for a 3 night stay. Friday night and Saturday night the noise from the club next door, the Blue Light, went on until gone 5.30am. The noise from people outside arriving and leaving the club was also bad. Sunday night there...

The location of this hotel is fantastic- just a short walk to the Charles Bridge. We stayed for 3 nights in a beautiful room, decorated in traditional style, but with every modern convenience. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our only disappointments were the street noise during the night, and the basic breakfast. We had requested gluten-free bread and there...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
