This is clean small boutique hotel centrally placed for the castle. Elevated over Prague. The front rooms have amazing views. The hotel rooms are light airy and nicely furnished. The bathroom was very modern and clean. I would have liked a bath tub but the shower was good. The breakfast was adequate, would have liked more fruit but apart from...

From the moment of arrival to our departure the stay was just amazing. We stayed in February for a small family reunion, and the hotel truly exceeded our expectations, from fantastic (convenient) location to the decor and facilities of the room, to a great breakfast (especially the Prosecco for breakfast) and of course, ending with fantastic service. The team of...

Fantastic hotel, stands proud over Prague and is metres away from Prague Castle, staff are friendly, rooms large and very comfortable, cleanliness is a key priority and there are some quirky features like the wooden spiral staircase and the 'living wall' that runs through the centre of the hotel, breakfast is superb. We will most definitely be back.

I don't think I could have chosen a nicer hotel to stay in Prague than the Golden Star. Spotless, contemporary yet historical, perfect location at the foot of the Castle which also meant it was peaceful at night. Breakfast was great with loads of choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. And what a view we had from...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
