Thought we'd try the roof top terrace out, as we got up there it was lovely view of the clock and well heated. Staff seemed ok, but the menu was disappointing, plenty of drinks to choose from, other then cider which was another disappointment... We had a good look at the food menu and there was nothing that seemed appealing,...

Stopped by for coffee at the rooftop terrace at the U Prince. It's in a corner of the Old Town Square in Prague close to the Astronomical Clock. We have been coming here for years and over time the terrace has become quite glassed in. At one time it had just a few screens, now the larger part has a...

Enter the hotel and ask to go upstair to enjoy a drink on the rooftop with a magnificient view on the old city of Prague! The drinks are a bit expensive but you will have the choice among a wide variety of hot and cold drinks including lots of cocktails. In winter staff will provide you with a blanket to...

Very nice from far looking at it from the famous gastronomic clock, we decided to try it. Looks nice and warm and we decided to book it for St Valentine dinner..In fact too warm haha. Service is a disaster only one waiter on the whole floor which was FULL and they do not have all the options available on the...

The rooftop bar on top of this hotel is not to be missed!! Either daytime or night it is fantastic. Panoramic views of the Old Town Square and Prague in general! Slightly more expensive but absolutely worth it! The food is delicious and you cannot beat the view.

U Prince is an interesting and funky hotel. Great central location and a cool bar in the basement. The rooms are adequate but quite small. The breakfast was very good and buffet style. Some of the rooms have a terrace that overlooks the clock.

The best thing going for the U Prince is the location, In a beautiful square in the "old town " district of Prague a short walk to Charles bridge and the Jewish Quarter. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from in close proximity to the hotel. We booked a double room( 3rd to 6th February ), the room we...

This is one of the hidden gems of Europe! The hotel is perfect for sampling the Prague Christmas Markets. Very reasonably priced, excellent location, award-winning roof-top terrace restaurant, award-winning basement bar, beautifully appointed rooms and friendly staff. Hotel U Prince comes very highly recommended. I seldom award 5 star ratings but this hotel deserves this rating. The reception is efficient...

I stayed here for a weekend and was very impressed with how central it was. However it definitely is not a 5 star hotel... Our room was right overlooking the street (a lot of noise from outside )and while I love architecture , the ceilings were quite low and made the room very small... In the room there were marks...

Let me just start by saying the location is superb and the building itself fantastic but that's about it. Room was the on the top floor and with the gabled walls sloping in it felt pokey and small. The bathroom had a shower but the head was mounted about 5 inches above the tub meaning you had to kneel to...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
