Great location Great hotel. Very close to Charles bridge and the Old town, excellent transport access with closest underground only 5 minutes away. This Hotel is the perfect base for sight seeing and is also situated in one of the prettiest parts of Prague. Our room was very spacious, clean and quiet and had everything you needed. It was ok with the room, the personnel and the cleanliness. The sleep quality was also good and the value was indeed ok. The location of the hotel is more then perfect, is close to the important sights and the metro station. But the services are for three stars, not for four stars.

Hotel Waldstein is in a perfect part of Prague, close to lots of life but in a very quiet area. Five minutes walk and you are on Kampa Island or the Charles Bridge and only three minutes walk and you are on tram 22 which takes you everywhere. We'll be back. x

This quaint little treasure is ideally located to explore the city to the fullest. Although not comparable with more expensive inns and hotels in the vicinity, you get great value for money if you are happy with what they offer. We had a huge room with separate kitchen and found it perfect for our needs.

A great small hotel with individual rooms set around a small courtyard. The rooms were spotless with a small but powerful shower. Breakfast both continental and cooked was great and set in the 14th century wine cellar which we contrary to other reviews we thought was wonderful. (Orange Juice great).. The hotel is set off from the main street down...

It was a nicely designed hotel and the room was comfortable. Was there a few years ago. The breakfast was in the wine cellar and not so good, the orange juice had the taste of unsweetened Tang, orange and watery. When we left they wanted to charge us for a call to Romania, but we do not know know anyone there,...

Had a great stay here for our second honeymoon in April 13. Reception were extremely helpful with all our requests, rooms were beautiful and well priced. The area is also great, easy access to the castle, metro, trams, restaurants and the Charles Bridge. Breakfast is set in a beautiful cellar, with a decent range of food, that rotates daily. The...

This is the first hotel we stayed at in Prague and it was better than my husband and I expected. The furniture is antique and the atmosphere added to the hotel's intrigue. Interesting architecture and lay-out. The value was great - we paid a very reasonable price and had a very nice breakfast included. The room had decent speed wifi,...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
