Staying in U Pava was like staying staying in a National Trust property or a Spanish Paradour, history oozes from the walls. Everything was exceptional, the decor the staff service etc etc. Our room was magnificent (105) as good as any I have stayed in. All of this and so convenient for all of Pragues activities, at such sensible prices.

This is a great hotel, price a bit above average. Positive - room is spacious and very clean - friendly hotel staff - good location close to Charles bridge but still far away to be not as crowded as other places - great breakfast with everything you need Negative - bathroom has not window and is a bit smelly Overall...

Great location, beautiful rooms. Even though the hotel was close to the Charles bridge, it's positioned on a quiet square with a little park. The breakfast was very good, with both warm and cold items. Most importantly, it had that Prague old time aesthetic, with expected amenities, without paying exorbitant prices. Hat tip to Hedvika at the reception who made...

We were not disappointed in our room or amenities of this pretty little hotel. The reception women were not particularly friendly or helpful. Definitely get a car to meet at the airport. The rooms are harming tho not much storage space or lighting or plugs or cool air. I was warm at night and would have liked a better air...

We stayed here in May for ten days. The hotel is a beautifully decorated place. We had a corner room in the attic with the view of Prague Castle and a garden with peaflows nearby. I never thought peacock has such an ugly voice! You would think someone beats a fox to death )) The location of the hotel is...

This hotel small and quiet was recommended by a friend from Prague. Perhaps my expectations were great and I had expected a bit more than I received. I should have booked a suite which I regret not having done. We were given a choice of two rooms and opted for a small suite on the 4th floor. We were told...

Normally put my business guests/ visitors in this hotel, but this time I stayed there myself, as well. I knew the service and staff were very friendly and helpful, and I was not disappointed. The rooms were excellent, as well. Every room is different and has its own style. I was staying in the superior room, and it was really...

Situated in a quiet square but close to the river and Charles Bridge, with all sights within walking distance. We booked a deluxe room which was lovely. It had a feature ceiling, beautiful furniture and a comfortable bed. Receptionists were helpful and friendly, and the inclusive buffet breakfast had a wide choice of hot and cold options. We would definitely...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
