We stayed at the Nosticova for two nights in January 2011 and were very impressed. The hotel is within walking distance of major attractions including Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. Our room was spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. There was extra attention to detail, e.g., bathrobes, slippers and chocolates on our pillows at night. Our apartment was on the top...

Beautiful hotel with excellent and helpful staff! The room was a bit to small for this price. Fantastic bath and we got everything we needed there. (soap, bodylotion etc etc). Tasteful and beautiful decor all over the hotel. Very good breakfast, and very good dinner! You get what you demand - but we are used to buffee, so it was...

Great staff, very comfortable rooms, in a quiet location. We were upgraded (at no charge) to a beautiful room with a large, gorgeous bathroom. Just a perfect stay and would recommend highly. Also the restaurant is not too be missed. We didn't have dinner there but went for dessert wine and cheese after dinner out. The only problem we had......we...

My husband & I stayed here on our trip around Europe. We enjoyed our stay. Staff were polite, our room was beautifully decorated, and bathroom was huge. I found the bed REALLY comfortable, which is saying something, considering I'm pregnant & have woken with aches & pains in every other hotel on our trip. The free wifi was easy and...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
