Hotel Pav is in a great spot to explore Prague, this was our first visit and we found it to be close enough to walk to many of the major attractions, including the castle. Staff were very friendly... We stayed in this hotel from 29th Dec 2007 to 1st Jan 2008, and can't recommend it highly enough. The location was great, just a couple of mins walk to the river, and no more than 10 minutes to the Old Town Square. There are several bars and restaurants near by, but the street the hotel is on is very... More

Stayed at The Hotel Pav for two nights in December. Hotel is ideally situated in Prague for everything. Wencelas Square was literally a ten minute walk away as well as most attractions. Stopped for a night cap at the bar on both nights and the lady was very helpful and polite. Cocktails are also not very expensive and worth a... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
