Booked hotel online at site of hotel: option c (double room, bath/jacuzzi, large kitchenette, wifi) at different address (owner has 2 things for rent) and we ended up in this place. It's a former pension but not really hotel. Reception: they seem nice at first but very into the money. You pay upfront without seeing room/bar etc so if it...

Booked through booking.com arrived to find they had lost our reservation but the manager assured us he would get us a suitable room. My mistake, I trusted him and paid outstanding balance. About $900.00 , told to come back in an hour and we would have a room. On our return we ( my wife and daughter ) were led...

Hotel itself is fine for the price. Atmosphere is a bit grungy. It is a bit loud from the club next door, but isn't too bad... just bring earplugs. Room: clean and good enough size for the price. Sort of weird but cool that they had a shower in our room... but there was no sink. Shared toilet was clean....

I've seen mixed reviews about this hostel byt I give it three stars because of thr location, friendly staff, nice breakfast and showers. Don't get fooled by the location on TripAdvisor's map: it's about 5-7 kilometres off, the hostel is actually much closer to the city centre. The rooms were kinda nice although the bed was horribly hard. If you...

Some hotels are identikit, clean, boring buildings, where a man in a hat holds open a door for you and you get told to be quiet if you're rowdy late at night. Other hotels are different. Other hotels have the police knocking on your door asking about gay nightclubs in the building. Other hotels place the manager's office inside your...

I had mixed feelings about this place based on the reviews and I have to say that I was positively surprised. It's simple and affordable, very close to transport links and only 15 minutes from the Old Town. Don't expect a hotel but more like a hostel with slightly better interior. I spent 3 nights here, my room was on...

I stayed there for 5 nights. The hotel is close to the center, 10 minutes to walk to Place Wenzel and 20 minutes to the Charles Bridge. Several tram lines stop immediately at the door of the hotel, among them is line 22 which brought us to the Hradčany castle within half an hour. The downside of the location is...

I had booked one night's stay at Club Hotel Praha, Prague. Despite opting for the 'Pay Later' Option, my card was charged instantly upon booking on May 28th, 2015. I had received a confirmation email stating I would need to pay at the Hotel and I even called Customer Service who reassured the charge on my card for 800czk will...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
