Me my partner and his mum stayed for 3 nights in mid December. The rooms were very spacious the bathrooms were massive. The location was excellent, just 100 metres from the Charles bridge. Despite being very central, this hotel was very peaceful and quiet. Staff were wonderful and always willing to help.We would highly recommend this hotel.

It was purely by chance we stopped here for an evening meal on the way back to our hotel. We had been to Old Town Square and were feeling the cold, popped in here for a drink and stayed for dinner. It was a very pleasant surprise, staff were lovely and the food was very good, we all had local...

We were redirected to this hotel as there were some issues with another hotel we booked. The staff were nice and accommodating despite the fact that we did not actually book this hotel. Honestly, it was not what we came to Prague expecting but I imagine the traditional style would be appreciated by many who have come to admire the...

We've been here for Christmas and we had a lovely time! There was a small Christmas market in the park right in front of the hotel and one evening, a large group of carolers sang beautifully from the steps of the Charles Bridge. The hotel personnel was very helpful and nice! We stayed in a superior room which was very...

The hotel has an enviable position very near Charles Bridge and yet is tucked away in a quiet side street. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous throughout our stay. Some reviews have criticised the fittings of the hotel but, to be honest, it is a delightfully traditional Czech hotel with lovely period furniture etc and it is very clean....

A small hotel, in a lovely position. The staff were great and helpful, the room spacious and clean. Only issue was the lack of lift which would affect less mobile people. We went at Christmas and there was a lovely small market in the square outside and there were a number of bars and restaurants nearby. We had lunch at...

Didn't realise this was a hotel. We just had mulled wine and drinks in the cafe outside It's just below the Charles Bridge round the corner from the John Lennon wall. It's a lovely little square, perfect for a slow drink and people watching

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
