One of the best places I have ever stayed. The room and bed were very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was included and amazing, and the staff were lovely. It was in a quiet street below the castle but easily walkable to the Charles Bridge. And at a very reasonable price. Loved it. Would recommend and would stay again.

This was a lovely hotel. The rooms very very clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It was in a quiet location but close to the Charles Bridge and the centre of town. And the breakfast was absolutely magnificent.

This was the highest rated, most reasonably priced hotel on the Tripadvisor list for hotels in Prague. There was no recommendation, it was simply a case of reading through reviews and going with the ratings. We had already decided not to stay in a large hotel and wanted something smaller and more personal. This is where we managed to strike gold. From my initial contact via email to arrange transfers from the airport to picking up our cases from the room we had been allowed to keep all day,at no extra charge, so we could change before travelling home, this hotel lived up to everything we had wished for. A pleasant welcome on arrival, a room upgrade (advantage of going off season), excellent restaurant recommendation and other local information. The room was clean and well appointed, there are only 8 bedrooms in the whole hotel. The bathroom had a very large bath in it which was a nice surprise as it was nice to relax after a long cold day exploring the cobbled streets of Prague. The hotel is situated on a quite street and is a five minute walk from the castle and a ten/fifteen minute walk from the main square. Breakfast was served just off the main reception. A good selection was available, mostly continental style, rolls, cheese, meats. There was also a few cooked items, eggs and bacon and also cereals and pastry's. We did read some negative reviews about breakfast, but feel they were unjust as it was in perfect keeping with the scale and character of the hotel. Some other traveler's must have been expecting a full on hot buffet you would get at a Marriot, if you wanted that you should have gone to a Marriot, not here. The food was fresh and was served with a smile. That's what we expected and got exactly that.
We had two nights here and it was everything we wanted it to be, clean, quiet, close to attractions, personable and best of all excellent value. When we visit Prague again we will definitely stay hear again and have already recommended it to friends and family thinking of visiting Prague.

We stayed At the Green Grape in October 2012 (my husband & I, my brother & his wife & baby-daughter). It was perfect, from begining to end! Karin, the manager, is a wonderful, accommodating person. The hotel is a small one, in an older, remodeled house. Bedrooms are fairly large (my brother stayed in a super large suite), and the bathrooms are new and spacious (ours had a double shower). Linens and towels of very good quality; firm, comfortable mattress. Wi-fi working fine. Breakfast was pretty good, with everything we needed to start the day. Location is great! In five minutes you reach the castle, and in three you reach the bridge. German and American Embassies are located nearby, among others. If you are driving to Prague, the hotel offers a fenced-in parking space. In spite of being so close to Nerudova street, with all the tourists going up and down, the hotel is really quiet, and it gives you a wonderful feeling of being in the middle of an area in Prague really full of character. The only thing to consider is that the hotel doesn´t have an elevator, but I think it pays-off to climb the stairs with your luggage and stay At the Green Grape anyway. I will surely go for At the Green Grape next time I´m in Prague, and I suggest you to do the same. Go there, people!!!

We arrived at the Hotel U Zelenho Hroznu on Dec 16th for four nights and we stayed in room 7. From our arrival to our departure everything was flawless. The location of the hotel is fantastic. About a 5 minute walk to the castle above and then a 10 minute walk to the St. Charles Bridge. We thoroughly enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of old town yet so close. We do not like big hotels so this was perfect. We were on the 2nd floor and only had two rooms above us. I had asked for a second floor room because of reviews that had said you could hear people above you. We barely heard the people above us. The room was fantastic because it was historical, yet had the modern amenities of a beautiful bathroom with a heated floor. Much loved in the middle of winter. Breakfast each morning was perfect with above and beyond touches. The young lady asked what I would like to drink, and I reached for a tea bag, but she stopped me and went to a small jar containing black tea and said it would be better freshly steeped.
If you are looking for a small, boutique hotel just minutes away from the center, but with a quiet feel and perfect service, this is the best choice.

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic, quiet, tucked-away location at the base of the hill up to the castle, and only a 10 minute slow walk from the Charles Bridge. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, recommending places to visit and reputable tour companies. There was a good selection at breakfast each morning, and the food was still fairly fresh at 10am. We had a deluxe room and it was immaculately clean, very spacious, with beamed ceiling, good sized bathroom and an incredibly comfortable bed - I think I slept better here than I do at home! My only bad experience was some noisy guests in the neighbouring room chatting at 5am one night, but that's not the fault of the hotel.
All in all a lovely, romantic and comfortable hotel, and if return to Prague I would probably stay here again.

We stayed in the Ema Destinnova room with a lot of personality. All furnitures are her originals, including the comfortable and magnificent bed (and luckily the mattress is not original from 1920!). Black lacquer with gold engravings goes through all the furniture, not a choice I would do myself, but a very special feeling. The bedroom has windows towards an inner patio, so no real view from there. However, the outer room (where the sofa and TV are placed) have a nice although very "upwards" view towards the castle.

The rooms are large, and the bathroom is in top condition, with a good shower. A small safe is available in the outer room, although too small for a laptop. Also the safe itself is not fixed into the cabinet, so I guess it would be pretty easy just to grab it and walk away...

The free internet via WiFi works ok, although we did not do any heavy stuff, just surfing from our mobiles. Breakfast is not great, but good, contains the basics plus some extra. One of the receptionists (Karin, see pic) always offered on-demand pancakes or scrambled eggs, other receptionists did not, but all were very friendly.

Hotel is almost the last house on the road, then only stairs continue up towards the palace area, so there is absolutely no traffic and very quiet. Still only five minutes walk down to the Charles Bridge, very convenient. If we go again we will for sure try to get the same hotel.

We visited this hotel earlier this week for three nights. We stayed in the JB Santini room which is enormous and the bath is a welcome sight after a long day touring Prague on foot. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice. The hotel employees are very helpful and friendly and we would recommend taking advantage of the taxi pick up from the airport. The metro is easy enough to navigate, but the cobbled streets make wheeling a suitcase from the nearest metro to the hotel problematic. Free wifi too. A great start to our holiday and hope to return soon.

My first visit to Prague ... beautiful city!
Found this hotel via Tripadvisor and must say: this hotel is worth 5 stars ... friendly staff, great location in a quiet neighbourhood (no cars allowed in the street), great service, ... they help you everywhere they can and try to give you a personalized service. There are 7 rooms and each room has his charm (we received a little tour through the hotel by Karin). Breakfast is not so basic, a lot of choices and on sunday they even baked us pancakes. Very charming is the saying at your breakfasttable every morning :-)
So ... when staying in Prague ... this hotel is a must!
