This is a boutique hotel: very nice. Rooms are nicely appointed and there are amazing views from the restaurant. The location is great, close to the Prague Castle and Mala Strana, a very trendy district. Do yourself a favor and take a cab when you arrive: it is a steep hike to get there. Alternatively take tram # 22 that...

This hotel provides the facilities of a modern hotel but stil maintains its charm & character. It is in a great location, close to Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery and many other attractions. Friendly staff, excellent food, clean and comfortable- what more could you ask for. I celebrated my birthday here which was made extra special with a surprise from the...

'Location, location, location' - 4 minutes from Prague Castle, next to the Swedish Embassy and with great views of Prague. Charming, palatial Bohemian hotel with high levels of service. A real pleasure to visit. Only took breakfast there, but can highly recommend the porridge option.

Staff, location, room cannot fault any of these. Staff where friendly and professional and we were made most welcome. Our room was spacious and well maintained and while it didn't have a great view all you had to do was step out of the hotel and you had a fantastic view of Prague. When I return to Prague and I...

Wonderful hotel, almost adjacent to Prague Castle. A quaint and quiet area within a 20 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming and very efficient; we stayed here twice - the first time we had a Grand Deluxe Room overlooking the monastery with a very spacious bathroom, the second time...

Stopped for 4 nights mid April. Good location to west or city centre and just past the castle district and near Strahov monastery. Its refurbished church/monastery with a lot of character inside. Comfortable room (104) with quite a bit of space and decent bathroom. About 50 feet from hotel is great view over the city and nice walks into town...

We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was lovely and thoroughly helpful. The breakfast had a lot of options and was tasty. The location was wonderful, located atop the hill with outstanding views and located next to the Strahov Monastery Brewery which is a must visit and in walking distance to the Prague Castle! It is a calm, peaceful...

Was part of a monastery so there was a charm and interest. Location to Castle cannot be better. Easy to reach via the tram (need to walk about 100m). You can get anywhere and reach old town in less than 15 minutes for about $1. The room was nice but had uneven surfaces (small thresholds) due to the modification from...

We primarily chose this hotel because of the location near Prague Castle. It was a much quieter, more peaceful area than being down in Old Town. It's about a 25 minute walk to get down to the main sights, but the views are worth it in my opinion. You are literally inside the Prague Castle complex, so seeing the buildings...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Location of Questenberk hotel is special for its breathtaking view on the entire city of Prague. Within moments you are able to reach Prague Castle (approximately 5 minutes) and other most visited Prague's sites such as Charles Bridge, Lesser Town and Old Town square. Its unique placement gives you infinite options how to plan your journey in Prague. Only steps from our hotel you can enjoy the calm of Petrin park which is the biggest park in Prague and it is a pleasant place where to spend end of your day with an evening walk from the town. The building was built in 17th century and it served as a formal private palace to Sir Caspar Von Questenberg who was a German priest, Abbot of Strahov Premonstratensian Monastery. Sometimes the building is misinterpreted as a church, because the architecture is very similar to the one found in Strahov Monastery which is located only 2 minutes of walking through our terrace restaurant. Our hotel is suitable for clients of all ages, families with children, couples, wedding occassions or business trips. Staying in hotel Questenberk will give you unforgetable memories and will definitely make your stay in Prague even more enjoyable. ... more   less
