Great property in great location. Friendly staff. Large spacious rooms. Welcome beer is really a nice plus. Very clean, Internet reliable. Excellent breakfast. Would definetely stay here again. Might want to ask for inside room as there can be a little noise from the beer garden.

We arrived at U Medviku and were welcomed by two very friendly staff. We had booked online through their website. I had thought that some of their basic rooms had the historic exposed beams, but it turned out those were premium rooms. However, it was a fairly quiet time at the hotel, and they were very sweet and upgraded us...

We visited Prague for the first time last weekend and fell in love with this beautiful city. The hotel is in an excellent central location with all of the major attractions within walking distance. The staff are friendly and the beer on arrival is a nice touch. Our room at the top of the hotel was spacious and comfortable, although...

I travel to Prague often and like to stay in a different hotel each time I visit. I chose this hotel on the basis that it had a great location and breakfast included for a fair price. After spending four nights in the wonderful U Medvidku, I have already booked my next stay here! The hotel is in a fantastic...

Three of us stayed here in one room. The rooms were quite big as well as the bathroom. We got breakfast included, which was delicious with juices, vegetables, sausages, different kinds of eggs and breads, crepes, fruit, yogurt, soup, cereal, and coffee! The staff were nice and the brewery and restaurant were also great. Only 5-10 minutes to old town...

I loved this bar, basic, busy and friendly. I would recommend the Budvar Dark, a delicious, refreshing beer. I also shared a cheese platter which arrived heaped with 5 different cheeses, bread and butter. Simple, no fuss, tasty. Would definitely return.

We came to Prague in December 2014 and stayed in a hotel around the corner. We were pretty disappointed to be honest, but the location was good so we didn't complain. When we came to U Medvidku for a beer and meal (as was recommended multiple times when we researched) i noticed there was a hotel there also. I joked...

Stayed here in February 2013. We didn't shop around for hotels as we chose this one on a recommendation. Very nice room, nice staff and nice location, however we might possibly have got one cheaper if we'd looked into it more! The buffet breakfast was nice if a little heavy for us, though they had a decent selection which changed...

Really nice hotel, close to the center. If you like walking, maybe you will not need to use public transport at all. The welcome beer was really nice idea, and gives a very good first impression to the visitor. They changed my room because as they told me it was between of a group of tourists and they didn't want...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
