Excellent communication with hotel prior to arrival. Checked in late in the evening, allocated room 205 which overlooks into the street. Spacious, clean and offers the extras such as slippers, flannels, rose on the bed etc. Lots of space for clothes, good bathroom - only downside was shower space was pretty tiny. Sleep quality was good and very quiet. Location...

Booked the hotel for the last few nights of our honeymoon and it could not have been better. We were luck to get the room on the fourth floor with the private terrace below the castle. What a great view and space to enjoy a pivo or sekt in the evenings. The room was excellent, spotless and very comfortable, The...

Just returned from a Christmas trip to Prague and the Golden Wheel - what a wonderful hotel! Rooms were comfortable, full of character and very clean. Staff was amazing - so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Location was perfect - 10 minute walk to Prague Castle, same to Lesser Square streetcar stop. Charles Bridge and Old Town...

We loved this hotel. Only short walk from underground, slight uphill walk which we didn't find to be too challenging. Short walk to the amazing castle and Charles bridge. The hotel itself is small but beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous old and modern style with a very comfortable bed. We had breakfast...

We stayed at this hotel for a short break, the rooms were large and really clean and well equipped. Ideally situated for sightseeing close enough to everything . The staff were really friendly and most helpful, with a tasty breakfast too!! Would definitely stay again without hesitation!!

My family stayed here and nothing more then quality is in this hotel. Love the service, pricing and location. Metro is litterly around the corner, swell as the famous Bridge and the new/old city centre.

The Golden Wheel was located in the middle of the hill leading to the Prague Castle. Slight uphill location can be a challenging walk for elderly and for people with disabilities. Otherwise it was a beautiful hotel located in an old building. Hotel interiors were cool. The room and the bathroom were large and nicely decorated. The complimentary wireless internet...

What a great hotel in a superb location. Small hotel approximately 15 mins walk from Prague Castle uphill and 15 mins to Charles Bridge downhill. Lots of small bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk but still a nice quiet area. Hotel staff are fantastic and very helpful with any local information you may need. Excellent buffet breakfast. Little warning,...

Really beautiful boutique hotel right by Prague Castle. The hotel faces onto the main street leading up to the castle (about half way up the hill), but once inside it's so quiet, cosy and welcoming. The room was beautiful, we were in 102 at the front of the building, which had incredible painted ceilings. The staff were extremely friendly and...

What a lovely hotel this is. It's really well placed about a 5 minute walk up the hill to the castle and 10 minutes walk to Charles Bridge. The rooms are really clean and well kept. The only downside for me was the bed was really hard, but that's probably my only complaint. The mini bar is well stocked and...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
