An excellent choice for touring, comfort and romance. Location is perfect in the old city with everything in walking distance, good nearby restaurants. Just far enough off the tourist areas to be quiet. We had booked two nights ("In Love" package with potential upgrade) but we came a day early and found a last minute rate on their website for...

We chose this hotel for its location and because it was described as a boutique hotel and we were not disappointed. It is perfectly placed for visiting all the main attractions. The suites are extremely spacious and comfortable and there is a mini kitchen with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. This is not a large modern hotel but...

The location was even more convenient than we had hoped. Besides being close to the bridge, there are a handful of very good restaurants and bars within a few minutes of walking. I didn't think to take "Suite Hotel" part of their name literally. The room we had on the ground floor was surprisingly spacious. It was more like an...

As enthusiastic as we were about staying at this hotel, a few things should be noted. First of all, be sure to print and carry with you all the arrangements you make with the Pachtuv. We had problems with the price they quoted us and it was only because we had the written confirmation that they agreed to honor it...

The hotel is very nice, with a great view, and a great deal for those over 55. The suites are large, comfortable and quiet(double, double windows). The location cannot be beat. Our only problem was with the front desk. We tried to switch rooms within our group and was met with a cold shoulder that extended throughout our stay. So...

Loved the hotel. Very roomy rooms, great views of the Charles Bridge, perfect position. Loved Prague. Restaurant in the hotel was not very good and overpriced. We ate mostly next door which was excellent.

Pachtuv Palace is a suite hotel. Given that we were celebrating an anniversary the staff put us in a "special" suite. The room was very spacious and consisted of a large living/dining room, a half bath and an ensuite bedroom. The space felt like it was once an attic - it was on the 3rd floor and reached only by...

Have just returned from a 2 night birthday weekend and stayed here in a deluxe room. The location of this hotel is perfect, right next to Charles bridge. The staff were very welcoming and professional, very helpful and we even had a small bottle of wine in our room on arrival for my boyfriends birthday. Very luxurious hotel, lovely location,...

After an 18-hour journey from the USA we did not want to hear that our hotel was overbooked. But Tomáš made the transition seamless by accommodating us at an upgraded room at their sister Riverside hotel and providing taxi service to and from. We checked in at Pachtuv Palace a day later and were upgraded to an EXQUISITE suite. Every...

Finding that our view from our bedroom window was THE picture you see anytime there's a photo of Prague was going to be a good start anyway but the rest of the hotel pretty much matched our expectations. Wendy on reception was like having our own personal tour guide booking restaurant tables and concert tickets for us. Nothing was too...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
