this is a the best communal hotel I have ever stayed in. I slept in the 5 bed female dorm- which is really a massive bedroom with 5 beds in and a en-suite bathroom. It was super comfortable, super private and never once did I...More
The best thing at Miss Sophie's is the helpfulness of the staff. Also it has the kind of location that is great for an expensive city: near a subway and several tram lines but a few stops outside of the very center.

Stay for 4 nights and was surprised how clean and modern the furnitures are when stepped into the room. Well-equipped kitchen (though if there is Salt and Oil it would be better). Staff are nice overall and they are willing to give advice on sightseeing...More

Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town
or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

They have a hotel which we stayed in, and their hostel is right across the street. Our hotel room was beautiful with a double bed, and a large bathroom just for us. I imagine that the hostel across the street has shared bathrooms and bedrooms, and breakfast for both the hostel and hotel are across the street in the hostel. Just make sure that you are booking at Miss Sophie's Hotel rather than Miss Sophie's Hostel and you should be good to go :)

We took a cab from the airport because of luggage, late arrival, not sure where we were, etc. BUT be sure it is a cab and not the private car service that will charge you an addl 30 more but claim they are taxi. After you arrive it is very easy to get to and from via the tram/metro (you can buy tickets at the hotel).
