great location for a reasonable price - every monuments we wanted to see were easily accessible by feet...we had a problem with electric plugs, but it was solved the next day...me and my friends spend there 3 nights and i would reccomend this hostel to all who are watching their budget but want to stay in the city centre...only disadvantage -... Booked a room for 4, 2 nights in total. The room was huge and very confortable, no bad smells in it, and had wifi. Showers had a lock and a lot of places to hang clothes, something unusual in hostels. Location is perfect, but it is a little hidden and boring, they don't organize anything special. Real negative point is... More

It does what it says on the tin. It is a roof over your head with the basic essentials (beds, showers). Staff are indifferent and their English is broken. However if something goes wrong you can't rely on the staff which is a bit of a hassle. All in all if you are there for a short stay it's okay,... More

If you're looking for a cheap hostel at the perfect location, this is definitely your match. For the other parts, not so much.. We weren't very thrilled with our room, which smelled horrible. Also we've paid for a locker which happened to be a closet which you could break up at the back. The staff was friendly, but if you're... More

Great location and very kind staff. If we consider that hostel is just 1 minute walking from Wenceslav Square, prices are excelent. Ideal place for students or for groups of young people, but I recommend to everyone. Everything is close from this place, Wenceslav Square, National muzeum, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with astronomical clock and many other interesting places... More

Recommended! Hostel is located in the city center. Every time we stay there. The rooms are very modest. Ideal for students. Everything is in the old communist style. Very close is a grocery store. The service is very friendly and speak foregin languages.

Quick Pros: At 20 euros a night for a twin room this is great value and if you have a large group you could potentially end up staying in a shared room for aroun 8-10 euros a night which is not to be shirked at for European travel. Secondly, the location is excellent - a five minute walk from the... More

The hotel is very dirty and our room smelled like someone had a piss in it! The location is good and that's about it. The room had no curtains so every morning the sun would come blaring in and wake us up. The bathrooms and toilets where pretty dirty. We basically did our best not to be there to was... More

It was my third time in this hostel, and I was always satisfied. 5 minute walk from the main traistation, walking distance to most of the Pragues sightseeings. Lot of bars and clubs around is also advantage. Friendly stuff and atmosphere. Great location, cheap price, clean rooms, free wi-fi and free tea in the kitchen , I think its what... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
