Me and my boyfriend only stayed here for one night, so maybye this reveiw is not that representative. We had just been traveling some days in Prague and Vienna, and now came back for another night in Prague. The staff didnt even smile and welcomed us when we arrived. Got the feeling that we were just in the way for...

We stayed at the Archibald in late June. The room was clean, large and pretty much like a typical US chain. The staff was polite and pleasant. They booked a tour to Karlstein Castle for us. Also, they arranged transfers to and from the airport. The location was fantastic. We were 5 minutes from Wenceslas Square. We were near the...

This hotel seems very new. Everything is in good condition and the room is very clean. Front desk staff is very professional. The buffet breakfast is abundant. There are two computers in the lobby for free internet use. Wifi is available in your own room (connection is unsteady but it’s FREE). There is a porn DVD shop right across from...

Even the arriving the hotel was terrible. Busy street without possibility to park next to main door and of course it was raining. I don't know where the information got broken, but our all male business traveling group got 2 rooms with double beds. We asked to change the rooms and the staff promised that our beds could be separated....

Dear Customer, I am really sorry to hear about your disappointment with Archibald City Hotel. Coming in rainy weather does not probably add much to good mood when traveling to have a few days break and then, on top of that, to get a double bed instead of twin. This is why we reccomend to make a note of preference...

Four of us arrived late at night on a Sunday and was met by a very grumpy receptionist. We had a small issue and he was not very helpful at all. Everytime this guy was on shift he kinda made us feel awkard for being there. The actual hotel was ok for the price we paid...apart from the minibar and...

A welcomimg hotel not far from Wencelas Square and the Mueum Metro but the area is not the best. Facilities, Beds and staff are very good. Breakfast could be improved by real juice but the overall selection of hot and cold food is excellent. Our nice roonm at the front of the hotel had a good view of the local...

Booked a double room for £30 per night. I was very impressed with the hotel all round. Very clean, very good location (2 mins from underground and walking distance from many of the main sights). One thing i would say is the area around is a bit seedy at night. Apart from that, top marks.

My partner and I stayed at Archibald City for two nights in July 08 and were very pleased with our time there. We picked the hotel mainly because it was a fairly cheap option for Prague in the middle of summer-we paid around £60 a night through Expedia-and because of the location. We were arriving into Prague Holesovice, and taking...

I stayed in the archibald for 4 nights from the 3rd-7th of february. I found it to be a comfortable, clean hotel just a few minutes walk from wenceslas square. I found it ideal for a short stay, you could walk everywhere which i beleive is the best way to discover the city( which i found very safe, but a...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
