We visited this hotel in January. The hotel is in an excellent position with a 5 minute walk to The Charles Bridge. We used the Bus and then a train from the Airport and its a doddle to get to. The reception staff checked us in very quickly and were very good. The room was excellent, heated marble floor in... More

The hotel is in a great central location, with very clean well serviced rooms. The service in the hotel could be better considering it is a 5*. The hotel staff were not very attentive and although did help me when asked, they did not go out of their way which I would expect from a 5* hotel. I ordered breakfast... More

Me & my boyfriend stayed at "Eurostars Thalia" for 3 nights. Our flight arrived at 6.30 a.m. and we wanted to settle to our room, which was not given to us until 14.30, after a few complaints. As a matter of fact, the receptionist did nothing to comfort us (e.g. offer a drink), but rather gave us a map and... More

I made a reservation to stay at the Eurostars Thalia hotel in the Czech Republic for 3 April 2009 to 5 April 2009. I reserved three rooms on the hotel's website and guaranteed the reservation with my credit card. My four friends and I arrived at the Eurostars hotel at about 11:30pm after a two and a half hour flight... More

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for a 3 night break in the beginning of January and thought it was lovely! It's clean, simple and friendly. The bed was gigantic and the room was very spaceous. I don't know what people have to complain about!!!! We stayed here for 3 nights 25.02.09 until 28.02.09 and everything was perfect. The room was spotless although a little dark but ALL places in Prague are not very well lit. We were never cold in the room, and it was VERY cold outside (why not ask for another blanket) heating... I do not understand how this hotel ever qualified as 5 stars. It is either an excellent 3 star or reasonable 4 star hotel. Some deficiencies are: - No coffee or tea facilities in the rooms - combined with - An unmanned lobby bar/cafeteria. I tried to get coffee/beer/snacks in the morning, afternoon and evening on multiple occasions over a... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
