The hotel is fantastic - the room decor is really lovely, the staff are so helpful and the location is brilliant - a hop, skip and a jump from Charles Bridge. The tram runs from just up the road so it is really easy to get around town, wherever you would like to go. The breakfast is among the best...

The hotel is two steps away from the Charles river. Location cannot be better. Very nice room combining antique (bedroom) and modern (bathroom). Staff is very kind and helpful. Good Service. Don´t waste your time looking for other hotel. Highly recommended.

This is a review of the restaurant beneath the hotel. The best dinner (and lunch, and another dinner) that I had in Prague! The goulash soup, served in a bread bowl, was the best I had anywhere in East-Central Europe. Spiced, rich (but not heavy) and with tender meat. Very different from the simple brothy versions you usually get across...

The Residence U Cerneho Orla is a lovely historic building located very close to the Charles Bridge. Rooms are charmingly decorated, comfortable and immaculately clean. The hotel restaurant serves really hearty breakfasts (no need for lunch) and the food on the one evening we ate there was delicious. The young staff are friendly and helpful, and spoke good English and...

This small hotel had more charm and character than any other boutique type hotel we've ever stayed at. Location was perfect, easy to find and so close to Charles Bridge. Our room was exactly as shown in the hotel photos, large and beautifully decorated. Very cosy and spotlessly clean. No sign of age at all. The bed and pillows were...

We stayed 2 night here in a very cozy atmosphere. Well decorated from old building, located in at few steps from Charles bridge. Friendly and helpful reception introduced us the city. The bed is very comfy with a huge soft pillow. The hotel has no elevator so you might have to carry your big bag up and down 4floor top....

Never got a chance to stay at this place, but is the favorite party destination of most of my friends. Last week, we were invited in a birthday party at this place. Dinner was awesome and included most of the dishes. Services were excellent; they presented enormous variety of dishes in such a short time. Staff was very efficient and...

Had a four night stay at the hotel and could'nt fault it. Very clean, helpful and attentive staff. Room was well appointed and the hotel itself is in a great location close to Charles Bridge. Excellent breakfast with waiter service instead of the usual queue for the buffet. Would not hesitate to stay again and would definitely recommend. Fabulous!

We were booked at a different hotel across the street but upon arrival we were met and advised that due to a water problem we were being booked into this hotel instead. I am not sure what the difference in prices would have been, but the room we were given was probably the strangest I have ever stayed in. It...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
