So easy to walk to everything! (Plus, it's near many trams and the subway.) The restaurant on the main floor is really yummy, and the 20% discount for hotel guests is great. They have free wifi throughout the hotel (though it can be a bit slow; still, very handy). Check-in was a little strange/slow because the staff double as servers... More

The location of this place is great, in the castle district and only several blocks from the Charles Bridge and a short walk to Old Town. After traveling all day and checking into the hotel we were happy to find that the restaurant had delicious czech food and helpful staff. The room was clean and also very spacious. I would... More

We only paid for a double room, but somehow ended up in a large room on the top floor with three beds and a great view of St. Nicholas cathedral and the charming buildings round about. The room was clean and pleasant, no AC but lots and lots of windows for fresh air. We drove in and found out that... More

We only went to the restaurant at this location for a mid-day snack. The coffee and dessert was delicious and the service was great. I would return to it and recommend it!

On my visit to Prague last month, this was the best restaurant I found for Czech Cuisine. They offer potato pancakes (Which I highly recommend) as a side to their goulash rather than just the ubiquitous dumplings. Ordering was easy because their menu is in several languages, including Czech, English, and German. I also highly recommend the daily cake selection... More

Walkable distance to the metro station, if not take a tram for one or two stop (cant remember exactly) and I'm literally at the doorstep. Easy walk to the bridge which will be useful for photo takings during dawn (it's mesmerizing even though I was freezing.) Room size is just adequate for 2, bathroom is clean and heater is good,... We've been to Prague several times and always stayed in a different hotel. This visit was with friends and earlier in the year than we had been before. The temperature during the day hovered around freezing but there was a windchill of minus 8 and the night time temperature was minus 9 most nights!! Even with temperatures this low U... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
