For a supposedly 5-star hotel which charged us €200 per night, we were quite underwhelmed. First of all, we had a room facing the interior of the building, which meant that we had virtually no natural light or fresh air. We felt like troglodytes, and it made us want to avoid spending time in the room. Secondly, the breakfast is...

Lovely boutique hotel across the river, close by the Charles Bridge and below the Castle. Super friendly reception staff. We had a wonderfully big room - wooden floors, nicely furnished, bathrobes - the works. The bath products were lovely too and the shower was one of the best hotel showers I have ever had. Tons of room and everything worked!...

A very nice and comfortable little hotel, situated near the castle and Charles bridge. Nice and fresch breakfast, the rooms are modern, the surroundings are quiet. The most memorable however is the helpful and caring personnel!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Perfect location, nice and helpful staff, clean and modern rooms. If we are going to point a finger at something: Breakfast was dissapointing the first day, but a whole lot better the rest of our stay. Could'nt find opening hours for the lobby bar. So one night we had a drink before dinner, and the...

We booked this hotel for a family vacation ON THE HOTEL WEBSITE, received a booking code and showed up for a 3 day stay with our kids. We were denied our 2 rooms despite having booked a reservation. The front desk personnel were helpful and understanding and we subsequently found rooms elsewhere on our own. What is inexcusable is that...

We stayed at this hotel early March 2017. Positive: The location of this hotel is extraordinary. Ideal for visiting the historic places. Maybe they should promote a little bid more the hotel's connection the nearby subway-station, which is approx. at 200m. They have a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are impressive and huge, with a lot of daylight,...

Very comfortable hotel, helpful friendly staff, spacious comfortable room. Location near enough to walk everywhere but across the river so away from the noise. Breakfast served in a lovely old room. Helpful transfer to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

This is an elegant and stylish contemporary-style hotel. Reception was enthusiastically friendly and professional at check-in and checkout, and our room was enormous and well-appointed, with a gorgeous view of Prague Castle. The bathroom is also large, with radiant heat floors. The bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi was strong, plenty of outlets, chargers, and storage. The location is very convenient to...

This wonderful hotel is an historical building form the XIV century, located in the district of Mala Strana, in a 5 min walking distance from Charles Bridge and very close to the access to the Castle and St Vito´s Cathedral. Rooms are extremely comfotable. They are quite big and full-equiped. Bathrooms are new and the design is really nice. I...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
