Just returned from a long weekend in Prague and staying at this hotel made it all the more pleasurable. Location was perfect, 3 mins from Old Town square (Astronomical Clock) and no more than 5 mins from Charles bridge. Staff were always friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until we left. Rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable...

The hotel is a stone throw from the main square, lots of shops and near to Charles Bridge as well. The welcome by the hotel reception was excellent, offered a choice of beer or wine while she arranged for the room check in. Gave a very thorough brief on hotel facilities, places to visit etc. Room is excellent, quirky with...

Ethereal is the fact it used to be a monastery, so there are views onto a courtyard and it's a pleasure to walk the staircases which circle it. Who needs the elevator with such beauty? Stylish is the elegant furniture in the rooms, lobbies and all hallways. Many people clearly enjoyed hanging out in the common areas for this. The...

A warm and friendly welcome greeted our small group on arrival at Hotel Savic on the 5th -8th February. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of buffet food both hot and cold, a variety of fresh fruit, plus a chef who happily made fresh omlettes, scrambled eggs, pancakes etc. We also enjoyed a quality evening meal and lunch at...

Stayed here after reading TripAdvisor review. We couldn't have picked a better hotel. Centrally located in the Old part if town this boutique hotel had all the features, comfort and style of a hotel twice the price. On arrival we were given a couple of free drinks and some local information and the staff we extremely friendly and polite but...

There is very little to say about the Savic which hasn't already been said in other reviews. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, well-decorated, reasonably-priced and friendly. The drink on arrival was very welcome and our room was spacious. It was good to have the Nespresso machine - other hotels should take note. The only very minor grumble (I can't...

We loved the beautiful Savic Hotel in Prague. The location is perfect; just around the corner from the Old Town square (gorgeous Christmas market and stunning gothic Church of Tyn) and a short walk to the Charles Bridge (Karluv most). Our family stayed in rooms 207 and 208 for 4 nights in mid December '11. The rooms are very spacious...

This hotel is our all-time favourite and as a result we have visited it over 7 times. Beautifully and stylishly decorated in the heart of the beautiful city of Prague. Every time we go it feels like going home. Quiet, romantic and relaxing accomodation which is spotlessly clean. Wonderful, helpful and informative staff. Fantastic breakfast in a beautiful dining room....

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, it's location, the rooms, breakfast and the beds are so comfy! We opted for a Superior Room where there are original 14th Century paintings on the ceiling and beams, although what we had originally asked for was the attic room, we didn't complain and just mentioned it on check-out. Staff were apologetic and assured us...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
