I spend my life in hotels (sad) and this is one of the best I have been in for a long, long time. Modern, clean, quiet, central, very stylish, great food, atmospheric bar and lounge - all reasonably priced - and the staff seem to genuinely love to help (many hotels are false in this way). They smile the whole...

First off the location is phenomenal, its a 7 min walk to the Wensceles square which has a long street with countless shops & restaurants to goto. The hotel itself is a cosy hip hotel, the reception desk ppl were extra friendly & spoke great english, they helped us with booking a bus to Karlovy vary & even helped me...

The Icon Hotel was a cozy, modern boutique hotel which met all our expectations which were high to begin with because of all the great reviews. We loved the contemporary design. The lobby was rather simple but the frontdesk people were exceptional in terms of service! They kindly stored our spare luggage for us and were helpful with directions and...

We stayed at the Icon for a single night after staying elsewhere in Prague for a friend's wedding and can only say it was an absolute pleasure, the staff were friendly and attentive, the room was perfect (the bed was incredible) the service and menu were superb and the cocktails were much needed. It looks very unassuming, tucked away on...

From the facade the Icon doesnt look like much, indeed it is very anonymous, but as soon as you enter the hotel you get hit with the feeling that this is a nice place where they have an eye for the details - soothing light, soft leather chairs while doing checkin and a supremely friendly and service-minded staff. The staff...

Icon is quite understated upon arrival but as soon as you reach the registration counter, you are greeted with a warm, friendly smile. The one bedroom suite I booked was clean with modern, comfortable furniture and bed. Breakfast included eggs cooked to order. The bar and lounge is casual which makes it easy to relax after a day of walking....

My rooms where not small ( we changed to a smoking room ) both rooms where of a v.g. size I guess the top floor may be smaller. The staff make this hotel, from the moment we arrived they never stoped smiling. I was at the hotel for 6 nights, even when we changed rooms they moved all our belongings....

The Icon is a very good hotel in a good location. The only real downside is the size of the rooms. The rooms are real small. On the top floor where my room was they are even smaller because the sloped roof takes up half of that space. There was room for the bed... and that's about it. Even smaller...

Big shout out to Marcus who sold us with his friendliness, attention to detail and courtesy in showing us around the hotel even though we were not even staying there. We went to the Icon to have a cocktail at their famous bar and we never checked back into our other hotel! The same day, we secured our suite, returned...

Great hotel to stay in - right beside main tourist area and easy walking distance to everywhere else. Room was clean, and had everything needed. Staff were really friendly and had no problem in answering any questions or suggesting places to go / eat. Food was great. Would stay here again

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
