We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Besada Prague and it was very central for exploring Prague. Close to the metro and tram stops for easy access to the city's attractions and the historic core. The hotel was advertised as non-smoking which is why we booked it, however, we could smell cigarette smoke in our room often and certainly in the...

this hotel is very well locates between the old and new town. Everything is at a short walking distances. The street is very quiet at night and neighbourhood is full of restaurants and pubs. Metro and a major tramway line is at a 5minutes walk distance. Our room is large, clean and quiet but with the View is on the...

We found this hotel to be a clean and quiet hotel with friendly staff. Our room 602 had an upstairs viewing room with great views over the city. Its in a great location in the old city where you can walk to everything (which we did) but if inclined the trams & metro are all close by. Would definitely go...

Staff were helpful and location was good. Only 4th & 5th floors have airconditioning. Lift experienced problems throughout our 4 night stay. Bathroom shower awkward to use as you cannot stand under it. Breakfast was good.

Hi travelers, I have stayed two nights in this hotel, that has a good location in central Prague. Initially I got attracted by the central location and 4 stars hotel. As you would expect from a hotel in central Prague, I was looking to a quality stay. My disappointment could not be bigger. Let me be short here as there...

The general impression of the hotel was so-so. There is a room where you can sleep, though, the bed is kind of hard and you can clearly hear any sound from the hallway. However, the nice breakfast compensates the early wakeups. The location on the other hand was amazing. You live two minutes from a big city mall and one...

the location is very central but works on a very nearby building created a lot of noise. Our room was at the attic , 5th floor so not very spacious. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good but nothing special. The whole of the hotel is very clean. Wifi very slow.

Oh my God, the WIFI. HORRIBLE WIFI SERVICE. Obviously, you're on vacation, you don't necessarily need amazing high speed wifi. But for our room, the wifi service was unexistant. I had to go five times to the lobby to get some kind of reaction from the front desk. Almost no air conditioning- gets kind of hot in the beginning of...

I usually give the most honest reviews and try not to complain on the small things, however in this case its not possible. The pros: spacious room, comftarble bed, big shower and bathtub. The room was cleaned on a daily basis, and some of the staff was very pleasent. Location, location, location. The cons: -on arrival, the lady who did...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
