Majestic Plaza Hotel Prague delights many guests with its elegant charm, offering a mix of tastefully furnished accommodations, though some find the decor a touch dated. Visitors often commend the hotel for its cleanliness and the variety of amenities, including a well-organized breakfast. While the central location near Wenceslas Square is a highlight, guests commonly note that poor sound insulation can lead to noisy nights. Service is generally seen as professional, despite occasional lapses in attentiveness.

The hotel is in the perfect location for a short break in Prague. Easy walking distance from all the major attractions, yet just far enough off Wenceslas square that it’s not noisy it crowded. The front of house staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and bright. Breakfast was really good! So much choice in a lovely restaurant with really attentive staff. Our room was a great size and very clean. The complimentary chocolate was a nice touch too. The mini bar prices are clear and reasonable. A couple of problems for us were the extremely hard mattress and the thin walls. When the people in the next room were talking it felt like we were eavesdropping! I didn’t sleep too well because the bed was so uncomfortable for me. It wasn’t a major problem, more a personal preference for a softer mattress.
Sadly the experience of the hotel was soured on our checkout day. Checkout time is 12 midday and the staff allow you to keep your bags in a locked room until you leave for the airport which is great as we had a 9pm flight. Once we’d done this we went for a walk and my husband realised he’d left his Fitbit on charge in the room. We weren’t overly concerned as we thought it would be found. When we arrived back at the hotel later that day assuming the cleaning staff would have handed it in. We were told it hadn’t been found or reported. The desk staff called the cleaning supervisor who also said it hadn’t been handed in. The room had already been allocated to new guests and so they said there was no way of checking. I found this a real shame, I know it was totally our mistake leaving it in the room but I fail to understand how it completely disappeared and feel like someone must have seen it!
This is a really good hotel though and I’d recommend it!

Dear Sheilagh_all, Thank you for choosing Hotel Majestic Plaza for your recent stay in Prague and your valuable feedback. I am very sorry we did not meet your expectation regarding the comfort of our mattresses. Even though mattress comfort is not to your liking, I would like to assure you that these are quality mattresses, recently new, from very good supplier with whom we are cooperating long time. On the other hand it is a true pleasure to read that you really liked the hotel, the location, the room and its cleanliness, the breakfast, the service and the very friendly team. I'm really saddened to read about how the problem with the lost Fitbit was solved. Your experience will be carefully reviewed with all those concerned and corrective training will be implemented accordingly. Once again, kindly accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience you and your husband may have experienced, and we hope to welcoming you back and restoring your faith in the Hotel Majestic Plaza. Kind regards, Jan Hamouz Resident Manager

Our first visit to Prague (my Christmas present off hubby) and really pleased we stayed at this hotel. Our room (611) was a great size, with balcony, king size bed and the best pillows ever!! It was extremely clean and well furnished. Tea/coffee facilities and a mini bar. Nice bathroom with large shower. The staff at the hotel were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much bother for them. Special mention for Christopher who looked after us well at the hotel bar. Breakfast was faultless - everything there you could want to set you up for the day and the opening times of 7am-11am was brill. The location is just off Wenceslas Square, approx 2 mins. We walked everywhere from the hotel - taxi/tram not necessary. We would most certainly stay here again.

Lovely hotel 5 mins walk from the square, shops and restaurants breakfast is great lots of choice with different varieties. Rooms were very clean and attended to daily ideal location as it was very quiet so not disturbed only problem with the room is they need better pillows very light so not very comfy although the beds were great they needed a firmer pillow. Hotel staff are very helpful booked us a tour and also sorted our transfer out. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The room itself was ok, as expected for a 4 star hotel. However, late at night we were disturbed by noise from other rooms.

The breakfast area was bad. The room is crowded and people were coughing and sneezing all over the food. There are no protections against Covid taken at the buffet (except for cleaning tables) and staff do not wear masks. I actually saw it written that people should wear masks when entering the breakfast buffet, but nobody at all followed that rule, even the waiters. Honestly, this would be bad enough in normal times, in the current situation it seems dangerous and we left without eating breakfast. On the last day we got up very early to be able to eat in a less crowded environment.

We could also hear a lot of coughing coming from other hotel rooms. I would advise avoiding the hotel if you are vulnerable to COVID-19, or if you have relatives or friends that are.

Dear alii691, Thank you for sharing your impression about our hotel on TripAdvisor. I am happy that you were satisfied with your room. On the other hand it makes me sad that you did not find our measures against Covid as a sufficient. I would like to add the following facts to your comment: The hotel operates only half of its accommodation capacity, to have enough time for proper cleaning and disinfection of rooms between single stays. Safety glass is installed at the reception to prevent guests from coming into direct contact with our staff. Sanitiser dispensers are located everywhere across the premise even in front of the entrance to the restaurant and directly by the buffet. Buffet surfaces, tongs and ladles are cleaned and disinfected frequently. The premises of the second restaurant are also available to our guests, so that sufficient distances can be observed. Our employees are assessed on their body temperature and symptoms prior to them starting work, in addition their temperature is regularly recorded. The staff do not wear protective masks because their health condition is regularly checked, and it is not even required by the laws of our country or government regulations in these days. In addition, none of our staff or guests have been ill at the hotel since July, when we reopened the property. I assure you that we do our best to protect the health of our guests and ourselves. I believe I gave you a different point of view on this topic and made the current situation more understandable for you. Thank you for your support in these difficult times. Kind regards, Jan Hamouz Resident Manager

Good sizes of rooms and bathrooms, clean and stylish. We stayed in the old part which is stylishly renovated. Great welcome by nice and smiling staff who had the room ready already at 11. Good varied continental breakfast that could be enjoyed in two different breakfast rooms (we prefer the quiet part of the restaurant). Got a bubbly drink before breakfast each morning, a pleasant surprise. The location is perfect for a weekend in Prague. We took bus 119 and the metro to Mustek and it only takes few minutes to walk to the hotel. We walked all over the city so this was the perfect starting point. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights over New Year 2019/20. Nice double room with a very modern (new) bathroom. Very clean with fridge, safe, hairdryer and plenty of hanging/drawer space.
Very good breakfast choice with hot and cold selections.
Staff very friendly, spoke good English and very happy to help with directions etc. Gave us a good selection of helpful leaflets, maps etc. No complaints from us about the hotel.
We used their limousine service to pick us up and take us to the airport and it was well worth the price. We would definitely recommend this hotel 😊
Good base just off Wenceslas Square. We were able to walk everywhere. There is a metro, tram and ‘hop on hop off’ bus but we did it all on foot.
Very cold this time of year - hats and gloves a must.
Avoid the tacky Irish bar across the road but definitely check out the small wine bar just down from the hotel (Tuscany Taste). Some of the best wine we’ve had and the owners and local customers were so friendly.

We arrived in the hotel before check-in time and the staff were so accomodating and kind as we leave our luggages in the hotel. The staff in the reception are so welcoming and accommodating and they able to arranged the rooms (we are 8) for us to be in one floor. The rooms so lovely, nice and clean. What surprised me was the complimentary chocolates in our rooms. Love the chocolates. A big thanks to the resident manager. The breakfast buffet, love it, so many food to choose from. On the day we check out, we were given a free prague fridge magnet and some chocolate to share among us. What a lovely gesture from the hotel staff. Forgot the name of that man. We enjoyed our short stay in the hotel, the location is very near to some attractions like the Old Town. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

We have just got back from a wonderful 3 night stay at the majestic Plaza Hotel in Prague.
Check in was nice and easy and we were able to check in earlier than advised.
On arrival to our room I did notice a stale smoke smell even though it was a non smoking room, as the days went on we soon realised this is probably due to others smoking on their balconies!
The hotel gave us a welcome bottle of wine as it was our 10 year anniversary, this was a lovely touch.
The room and bathroom were clean plus bed and pillows were so comfortable. This is an older style building and the furniture reflected this however you couldn't fault the cleanliness.
The breakfast times were great 06:30 - 11:00 with a good selection.
Breakfast selection we saw daily - meats, cheeses, pancakes, porridge, sausages, scrambled egg, steamed veg (we didn't choose to eat this!), bacon (not the usual seen in England, however tasty), selection of breads, pastries, cakes, fruit, yogurts, different juices and hot drinks. We noticed on different days there was mushrooms, beans, hash browns and grilled tomatoes.
The staff we encountered were all very friendly and quick to clean away dirty plates etc.

We used the wine wellness spa which we had booked prior to arrival, this was lovely a private area again all very clean, you have to check in at their beer spa first which was beautifully decorated and again the staff very friendly.

Whilst in Prague we didn't use any public transport although we did a lot of walking the hotel wasn't more than 20/30min walk away from the main Prague attractions. Very central and easy to get about on foot and Google maps!

We hope we are able to return to the hotel again one day we loved it and Prague is a beautiful city.

Thank you Majestic Plaza for our wonderful experience.

Loved our trip to Prague and the Hotel Majestic Plaza played an important part! Location wise it is just perfect 200m left out the door and you are in Wenceslas Square and you can easily walk most places from here as well as it being a main shopping street. Great room and the staff were awesome in accommodating our request for an additional night - fantastic. Room spotlessly clean! Breakfast is fine - the dining room a bit cramped however there is additional space downstairs - all in all a great hotel and would stay again and recommend!!

We stayed in this lovely hotel for three nights and found it overall to be a great base for sightseeing.

Positioned just a few hundred metres from Wensceslas Square, with easy access to all the major tourist attractions, we walked for miles each day !

We stayed in a " superior room". Nicely proportioned with a big ( hard but comfortable) bed , wardrobe, desk and small balcony. The bathroom was quite small but very clean and provided basic handwash, shampoo/ shower gel and body lotion. Tea / coffee making facilities in the room and also fridge. We had one gripe really about the fact there were no bottles of water provided in the room, which would've been a nice touch for a " superior" room. Bottles of water and some cans of drink were available to purchase at reception. The room was decorated in a very old fashioned style but this was in keeping with the style of the building. The room was very comfortable however it was situated close to the lift and the walls were paper thin meaning we were kept awake / woken up by the " clonking" sound of the lift and the noisy residents in the hallway.

Breakfast was much better than expected. A good selection of hot food ( sausages, bacon, eggs, porridge pancakes etc ) together with cereals, yoghurt, bread, pastries and whole fruits. Various teas and a self service coffee machine were available and in addition a small glass of prosecco on arrival at the breakfast room was a nice touch.

Beware of the mini markets who charge a fortune for bottles of water. Instead, head for the supermarket near the rotating head where prices are more reasonable.

A great stay and if we did return we would consider this hotel again but this time in a room away from the lift.

Would we recommend this hotel ?? Yes, a great base for visiting the city.
