Not overally welcomed by the receptionist, wanted the exactly cash and wasnt overally imformative about Prague. In top roof room was clean, small, no shower just bath. No views of city which we would have liked. Comfortable bed main positive.

You couldn't ask for a better location: right on Nerudova, one of the Prague's most bustling streets, in the heart of the embassy district -- our window, in fact, looked right into the Italian embassy, directly across the street -- and only a slight stroll from the foot of the steps to the Prague Palace. You'll also be able to...

We stayed at Small luxury palace in March, the owner who is also the manager is a very nice guy, we got an upgrade and that was the start of the trip. The hotel is really nice and well kept, lots of photos on the stair wall gives the hotel a very cozy feeling. Its very near to the Charles...

We stayed here a few years ago(prior to June 2015) and I didn't write a review. I regret that now. We had a large two room apartment with kitchen for 4 nights. It was so bad that we left after the 2nd night and didn't ask for a refund of the unused nights - I seriously doubt they would give...

The location is great - very close to the palace and about a 15 min walk to the old city. Based on reviews I was expecting a bit more old world charm. Basic and adequate. Very lovely staff. Very large family room good for a baby. Baby playpen available upon request.

Booked this hotel as I was impressed with the quirky decor from the pics. I was worried reading reviews so I emailed the hotel to be sure that the room I booked was in fact what I thought it would be. We stayed in room 3 and although some things weren't perfect we couldn't imaging staying anywhere else. Staff at...

The location was great and the property has so much potential. Very old world. However, it was a bit run down and our room was dusty. The mattresses were terrible and the one pillow was not acceptable to sleep on. Also, no AC if that's important to you. The weather had cooled so temp in the room was ok but...

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Small Luxury Palace in August 2015! The staff was very friendly, the room nice (and cool, which was a blessing, with over 30° outside!) and the location is perfect! The Hradcin and the Charles Bridge are only a few minutes walk away. In the evening most tourists seem to be on the...

If you are into old, vintage furniture and high ceiling rooms in aristocratic houses, you will love the Small Luxury Palace in Prague. It is the definition of a boutique hotel. Situated on the Nerudova Street, right next to the Romanian embassy (that's how you find it, easier), 10 minutes walk from the Karol Bridge and probably 1 minute from...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
