There is a lot to see in Southern Moravia. If you like great architecture and art you should visit this area of Czech Republic. The bonus is that this is also best producing wine county. You may enjoy visiting wine sellers or wine tasting in small family owned businesses. People are warm and friendly.

Large well appointed rooms with many extras to make you feel special such as robes and slippers aveda products, fruit and a coffee tea cart. Rooms overlook well maintained grounds, which are a cross between Sherwood Forest and Regents Park, but on a smaller scale. Food was outstanding. We consider it the best Accomodation of our entire vacation.

It's obviously a great attraction to the Czechs. It reminds me of a college in Cambridge with huge huge grounds. Neo gothic style from 1846-1858. Viennese architect Wingelmullet et al. Huge and I mean huge grounds to walk or cycle to see the various bits like the Minaret - dating back to an astonishing 1798 and St John's Castle built...

Well worth a visit, this is a beautiful chateau. The architecture is exquisite. The grounds are also wonderful, especially the park. Its a very nice walk around the lake to see something unique in Czech Republic, a miniaret, not ever used for religious purposes, the Count built in for his appreciation of the architecture. Noticed a bird watching group, and...

What an introduction to castles in the Czech Republic! Beautiful grounds, incredible woodwork throughout, a boat ride to the Minaret and a very interesting guide who made our tour a lot of fun. The history of the castle and its owners is also fascinating and offers a peek into a bygone era. When in this area, the Lednice castle should...

The Lednice castle and sorroundings are just amazing. You can take a walk through the aerial or take a boat trip to "Minaret" and walk back. There is more than 700 types of trees, some are also numbered so you can identify them easily using a small map you can buy at the info office. Great for a relaxing walk...

Whole area of Lednice - Valtice is just amazing. Some 200 hectares of cultivated landscape with great buildings and beautiful natural scenery. Built during 700 years by Liechenstein family, one of the richest families in Europe at that time. Definately Must see in Czech.

This is a lovely castle with incredible grounds. We found it in great shape, all renovated and were simply charmed by the garden and the grounds. You can a really nice walk (about an hour or so) from the castle, round the lake to a minaret; the landscape is very beautiful and the secular oak trees are simply amazing.
