Before i start reviewing that "secret gem" allow me to introduce myself as i own a MSc in Tourism and work as a Concierge in a Luxury Collection (Marriott). Hence, as you may imagine, i do know what to expect- and not- from properties. Firstly, as i am honest and my reviews rank in the top 10% in my country, i must confess that the room was "ok" after all, clean, heating was on and hot water 24/7 (the basics). The hotel is located in a very nice district too, 10 minutes on foot from the centre. Nevertheless, hotel's major disadvantage and weakness appears to be its services. First of all, when we checked in i, did not notice at all the hospitality spirit neither felt unique as a guest. Ok i may understand up to a point that every culture differs. Moving on and while we had booked through a Tour Operator and not Booking a double kingsize bed, they had allocated us to a twin zipped. While i informed them that i know the room types and i work in the industry, they thought that it deserved a try to send me to a twin zipped room....as you may understand, politely i visited reception and offered after a while a kingsize room. By the way, no comments for an upgrade...twice i asked if they had such a possibility but i did not receive a reply neither a nod. Anyway, so far so good....almost... The room had the worst and cheapest amenities kit i have ever seen in my whole life...Shampoo, hand cream wash and body wash all the same from 2 different dispensers...i felt like a pet rather than a human. To my surprise, the minibar was empty and the room had no slippers! A 4-star property without offering slippers? Airbnb offers slippers nowadays...To my call at the reception, the lady insisted that they do not offer slippers, confirming that to me twice, while when i called the evening shift and asked for 2 pair of slippers, they immediately sent them to me....meaning that morning shift was kinda fed up with me and didn't want to service me....funny ha? Moreover, Bed Mattress was so thin and you could feel it sinking, but to my surprise i slept good enough. The breakfast was located in a really beautiful and spacious place, chairs with colourful textiles and cozy atmosphere. The staff was kind and willing to assist. Nonetheless, quality was beyond low regardless of their options. I noticed only one kind of marmalade which was always empty, pre-packed tasteless Nutella spread, cheap yogurt style creams and no raw fruits. Only scrambled eggs were kinda ok...Last but not least, i will never forget my experience with the taxi as i arranged it with the hotel. I booked a taxi through the hotel to go to the airport and the receptionist confirmed me twice please that the rate was 80 to 85 zloty..when we arrived at the airport, taxi driver asked me 130 zloty....funny when you going to heart a concierge who deals with plane, yachts and any kind of transportation right? As you may understand we had a fight and called immediately the hotel. Receptionist on shift politely asked me who had provided me that rate of 80 to 85 zloty till i told her that they had informed me with that rate, their morning shift. Of course and i did not pay 130 zloty. Overall, you make judge and make your statement...would not recommend it in the terms of services.
My wife and i stayed for 3 nights during christmas time and the stay was awesome! first the location - 10 minutes walk wawel castle, and 10 more to the market square, and also 10 minutes walk to the other side where the old jewish gettho was meant that we needed little use of public transportation or taxis. Second - the breakfast was great! rich and tasteful! Third - the room was very spacious and confortable, and last - the service! the staff at the reception helped us several times which made the entire stay simple great!
4 nights in this lovely hotel for sightseeing and the Christmas markets. Our room (307) spotless with two queen size beds looked like it had recently been renovated. Large shower and brand new bathroom. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold, breads, cheeses, cakes etc. All freshly prepared. About 15 to 20 mins walk from main square. Ask for a room at the side or back of hotel as the front rooms have the trams running on the road till late. Just loved Krakow. So clean and friendly. No rubbish on the streets...anywhere! Would love come back in summer.
My husband and I have just visited this hotel for two nights during a business trip/ leisure stay in Poland. I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a perfect hotel. Finding the hotel's carpark was a challenge but the reception staff were fantastic, showing is to the private garage and escorting us to our room. The room was beautifully clean and contemporary with mini fridge and ensuite bathroom. Usually hotel rooms are either too hot or too cold and the air conditioning and heating usually doesn't work. But this place was perfect. The air conditioning / heating was easy to use and functional. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and once again clean.
Spent 3 nights here,we turned up at the Hotel at 12.45pm check in is not until 2pm but our room was ready so we got into our room the Reception Staff very efficiant,Lovely room on the ground floor clean warm lots of space, free safe and fridge, our room was at the back but cant complain it was quiet,Breakfast very good plenty of choice staff fantastic, the bar area very nice very modern we enjoyed sitting in there having a drink served by Oleg and Anna top bar people, This Hotel is in an Ideal Loation away from the Main Square with Plenty of Bars and Resturants around we will be going back to this Hotel.

Hi Jade, my husband and I went for 5 nights to Poland. We took £300 spending money which was just about right. We ate out every evening and found the local restaurants were fairly cheap in comparison to UK. We spent 2 of the nights in Warsaw and this was expensive compared to Krakow. If you are stopping at a place which includes breakfast then eat well so you won't be needing much lunch. Enjoy 😃
