We stayed here for 4 nights and loved the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. We were put in a suite though didn't pay extra. This was a big bedroom, sitting room, bathroom & hallway. The bed was comfortable...More
Rooms, deco, doors and old and used. Not nice at all. Needs renovating immediatelly. Bed cover seems 40 years old and is damaged. TV from early 90s. Do not recommend. Better look for something nice or airbnb. Good location though, in the old town but...More
Spent four fabulous nights in hotel Francuski.Clean comfortable rooms. Though décor and furnishings a little old fashioned, it added to the charm. Friendly, helpful staff. In fact we loved it so much going back in November

Such a lovely old hotel. Very elegant and full of history. Staff helpful and friendly. Hotel arranged our transfers from and to the airport- sorted efficiently in advance via email. The hotel is very central and very reasonably priced. Excellent breakfast selection

If you are looking for a city tour, try Free Walking Tours. The guides are great and explain a lot about history because most of them have historical education. In case of going to the Salt Mine, I would really recommend going their by yourself - train station very close to the city center, the schedule can be check on the web-site, tickets can be bought in a ticket kiosk. The earlier you get their, the less waiting line will be.
