My friend and I meant to spend one night at the Savoy hotel on Saturday 24th Feb. We had our stay pre- booked. We arrived a bit earlier ( around 11am) and found out we can check in at 12 the earliest. We asked the lady in he reception if we could wait in the lobby, as we were…
Hotel is located in the heart of Lodz, a minute by walk to Piotrkowska street. It is very old hotel, over 100 years old. Rooms are very basic and all looks old however price for a stay was very attractive and I will take into consideration this place while travelling business.
Parking outside can be a problem as it is in a pedestrian type zone. But if you can find a place it us free. Hotel receptionist could speak English which was helpful. A gent operates the lift for you. The room was fine and bathroom clean. More of an older style decor hotel.
Built at the beginning of the 19th century this hotel is tired but feels comfortable and homelike. It has a manned lift to all floors! The rooms are tall and spacious newly decorated in keeping with the art Deco style (see photo). The ensuite washroom has a powerful shower and…
Hotel built in 1906 but despite some remodelling standards are not up those of modern hotels, e.g. lift to be used with a lift attendant! Has some nice, but dated artisitic features. Prime advantage is the location - adjacent to Lodz's main street Piotkowska.
"Tea making facilities available on request (but not advertised)."
"The street in front of the hotel can get pretty noisy at times. Get a room on the other side of the hotel, or on a higher floor."
"Wifi struggles with facetime"
"Elevator is manually operated so you have to be patient. Either street or interior rooms are quiet."
"Floor number 6 - allowed to smoke. Each room I can recomend as a great choice."
