My partner and I visited here for 3 nights in May for my birthday. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were very helpful in answering any questions we had. The swimming pool was a good size and we often had it to ourselves. Location wise the hotel was a fair walk from the main part of the...

Really enjoyed our stay at the Lion's. The staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable bedroom overlooking the church. Good food. Walking distance of the park where there were lots of activities when we stayed. Close to the bus stops to get into the centre. A good price for a very good stay. Thank you

Friendly staff, clean rooms, adequate breakfast, nice area, quiet rooms, good lift service. No tea coffee making facilities in room. Plenty of local eateries within short walking distance, smashing Chinese restaurant a few minutes walk away. view from room was on to a flat roof surface, so felt unsafe sleeping with window open and room was very hot. Flat roof...

I stayed here for a business trip. I had a beautiful view from my room! Spacious room, great pool, nice bar, bathroom could be better equipped and cleaned but still acceptable. Breakfast is not fancy, but enough choice. Dinner was satisfying also.

Ratio between price and value is very good. Room is big enough with comfortable bed. All is clean and working. Very good breakfast. Own garage. Location close to city center good accessible by car. I would go there again.

I stayed here for only one night and I must say it is a fairly long walk to the river where all the tourist action is, but the hotel is close to railway station. The rooms were comfortable, the pool/spa is a nice amenity, the dinner was good, and I believe there are some really good restaurants close by. The...

Just back from 2 nights in this hotel and I could fault it for the money it cost. It is a bit out of the city centre but there is very good transport links nearby which get you into the centre in no time at all. Only stayed b&b but the breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast. I...

We stayed at this very comfortable hotel as part of a Newmarket tour. Our room and bathroom were modern, clean and perfect for our needs. Breakfast was good quality and varied, and transport links to the city were excellent. Our only complaint was the cost of drinks at the bar which varied according to who served you. A price list...
