The staff was so friendly. I had stayed in a dormitory room, it was good and clean. Its location is also good, quite close to "oktogon""metro station and safe. But the problem is the noise coming from outside during all night. I could not sleep well.

We had a private room/apartment with separate entrance from the hostel door. The room was huge with high ceiling. There was a separate loft area built above the bed, which was full of things and there was some sheets(?) hung to dry, which was a bit weird, but didn't bother us since we didn't even need the space. Otherwise there...

Budapest was our first stop on an interailing trip around Europe so we weren't really too sure what to expect. After walking through the massive doors in to an amazing courtyard and up the steps to the reception of the hostel we were already sold. The people were fantastic, the room was lovely, the location was perfect. We were so...

I've never stayed in a hostel before, so I have nothing to compare it too, but I was generally happy with how everything went. Yes, the floors were squeaky, but for the price and location I was really happy. It was unique in the sense that it did not have bunk beds, and the staff were generally helpful. The overall...

Maybe other guests have a great experience with this hostel being very homelike, but for me it's unfortunately a big disappointment... I don't recognize it when I read all the good reviews. My bed sounds like it is broken and makes a lot of noise, so does the wooden floor and you hear everything. The bathrooms are sooo tiny, when...

One of my favorite hostels so far - cozy interior, relaxed atmosphere, friendly people and clean rooms. The staff is very helpful and cool, making it feel like staying at a friend's place rather than at a hostel.

Really cute little hostel ideally located right near Oktogon. Restaurant and clubs are nearby and it is very close to public transit. Security is great, there is a code both for the building and the hostel itself and there is someone at the front desk 24/7. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, gave me maps and recommended a...

I had a great time there : it really felt like a new home. When you travel alone, you never know what and who to expect in an hostel. The bathrooms are always kept clean, and the kitchen too. Staff was quite helpful and friendly : they also prepared a typical hungarian (chicken) meal for all of us (for free)...

HMH is a great, affordable, friendly hostel that welcomes everybody. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to give out pointers on the must-see sights. I was there during a week where they had the Tuesday cooking and it was delicious. The beds are comfortable and don't squeak, the bathrooms are kept clean, and there are multiple spaces for hostel...

HMH is a place where you really feel like at home. It's clean, comfortable, 10 mins walk from the centre and stuff was very friendly and helpful. Especially night receptionist Chris! :) If i decide to come back to Budapest, this is the place I would like to stay again! ;) Thanks!
