I stayed in Promenade hotel with my husband for 3 nights. The hotel is very centrally located near the river bank, shops, restaurands and the historic sights. There is also good transportation nearby. One can walk almost in all the major touristh attractions both in Buda and Pest. The hotel room was good sized and very clean. The bathroom had...

We started our first rally stage in Budapest by driving over the start line. Co-ordinate spots led us towards the military testing ground by the eastern part of the Balaton lake, where we had to look for 13 control spots. We then drove on the local roads over the hills to the »green” border with Slovenia (Hodoš).

Chose this hotel because of the location, and it was even better than we were expecting. Because of the time of year there was the Christmas market a few hundred yards away and this was lovely to walk around while drinking mulled wine! Good buffet breakfast, which on one of the two mornings included sausages and bacon which set us...

I've been in this hotel for 3 night with 30 friends! The very kind staff have always been available to satisfy all our demand. The rooms are elegant and modern with a spacious and confortable bathroom. The hotel is located near to main attraction and the value for money is excellent. I suggest it to everyone!

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Rooms are nice and spacious, hotel is very clean, and had big bathrooms. The location is what makes this hotel, on the main shopping strip easy walking distance to most locations, and metro only a few metres away for places that are a bit further... Definitely check out Gerbaud cafe just a few 100...

The foyer is narrow and misleading but once you are in the rooms they are very good. Very well presented, clean and everything works. With 2 teenage sons, who are usually big critics, loved the place. The breakfast area was small but there was a very good variety of hot and cold food to have before setting out in the...

You could not wish for a better located hotel. When you step out the front door you are on Vaci Utca, the main pedestrian street. Accross the street is the entrance to the Millenium parking garage. Unfortunately the parking charges a ridiculously high price for an overnight stay. We paid 66 euros for 2 nights, which was the same as...

Let me start by saying I can usually make the best of bad travel situations. Delayed flights, lost luggage and hotel rooms that don’t match the pictures on the web are all part of the adventure as far as I am concerned. However, I do expect the hotel I book to have a reasonably comfortable bed. The bed in my...

The location of the hotel is outstanding, right in the center of the commercial area on the Pest side. You can walk to the river in less than three minutes, you can shop right outside the hotel, etc. The hotel is very clean and new. The pictures you see on their Web site are reflective of the hotel room, small...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
