The staff are awesome here, going out of their way to make sure you have an incredible time. It was low season when I stayed so I was the only one in my dorm but everybodys friendly and we all went out for dinner and drinks that night with some of the staff. It's a short walk to the river...

I’ll be straight with you: 1) At the intersection of the 2, 4 and 6 tram lines, the location is OK for daily tourism activities, but a little out of the way for nightlife (which is in the ruins quarter, four tram stops plus 10 min walk away). 2) The place is a little grungy/quirky and dated, but I found...

The Groove was a fantastic place to stay in Budapest and I thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Thought it was slightly quirky compared to other hostels but everything was great. Staff were very helpful, the location's not bad at all, free tea and coffee and cooking facilities, showers were nice, rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Great value for money!

The Groove hostel must e one of the best options if you're travelling to Budapest, alone or with friends. It's around 30 min far from everything, on foot, and pretty close to the main public transports. Rooms are big and clean. My bed was really comfy. The recepcionists were kind, nice and always tried to help guests (who were great...

This hostel is a converted large apartment and the staff make it feel like home. Very friendly, like staying at a friends place. Security is good, large lockers under beds - otherwise rooms are not locked, in fact room 2 is a thoroughfare to room 1 and the smoking area which isn't for everyone! Location is on one of the...

My girlfriend and I booked the private room and found it to be nicer than most of the hotels you'd pay top dollar for in the US. The staff was incredible and very knowledgeable. We were fortunate enough to go on the hostels first ever walking where we met Barny (shortened because we cant pronounce it, lol) who would be...

This hostel was by far the best hostel I have been to. It has a fantastic atmosphere, and the staff is not only warm and welcoming - the also has a great knowledge about the city. Their suggestions of clubs to go to were really good. The hostel is clean and has a kitchen where you can make your own...

Spent 2 nights here whilst Interrailing, and had great fun, a great location just 5 minutes walk from the main bridge, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Provided a donation based meal too for travellers who wanted to stay cheap, comfy beds with blackout curtains and a great view from the window. We got stuck in a huge flash...

An accidental double booking left us with a free double bed en suite with was very kind of them 😊 definitely would recommend it to anyone. Staff were amazingly friendly and chilled out as well as knowing all the best places to get drunk (from what seemed like first hand experience) great showers, great location, great people and great discounts...

I spent three nights here out of a 12 night euro adventure. The groove hostel is welcoming, peaceful, fun and like staying with friends. The bunks have curtains for extra privacy or day time naps (I had a few) the bathrooms are plenty, clean and tidy and a good supply of hot/cold water. You can use the kitchen which is...
