Placed in a good location at the end of Elizabeth Bridge, easy walk to all major attractions, Basilica, Great Market and Castle. Lots of places to eat nearby and the Hop On/Off bus stops just up the road outside the Buddah Bar & Hotel.

would certainly not recomend staying here at the risk of having BEDBUGS. Whilst the facilities and the layout of the rooms were quite nice, it was all cancelled out by the copius amounts of bedbugs that we encountered. My partner and i have been travelling for over 3 months now and never experienced anything even close to this. On the... More

I was staying in Maverick hostel only for two nights, but it left me a fantastic impression! It's practically in the city center, so you can reach everything by the feet very fast. Rooms are clean, bed sheets are being changed every day and bathrooms are being cleaned daily as well. During my stay I was not bothered by neighbors... More

Stayed here with four other friends in a large spacious apartment which could have slept a lot more than just the five of us. The amount of amenities on offer including good wifi, hairdryer, fans, TV with DVDs were very good for the amount we paid. The customer service at the reception was fantastic especially from the young guy with... More

Very well maintained, nice, clean place. Strong WiFi and also a computer room for guests, 24 hours reception, complimentary coffee/tea, an equipped kitchen, great location, friendly staff. They provide sheets and towels, but no soap/shampoo. I needed to print out something and and they did it for me gladly. There's a good bakery just downstairs in the same building, very... More

Booked a private room with bath. I read some reviews that said the building was dated but I think it's historic with a lot of character. There's info at the very front of the building that has pictures of the building from WWII. Wish it was translated in English though. PROS: staff was very friendly and knowledgeable; super close to... More

The stay was super comfortable. We had a four person ensuite. The bathroom was not the best... the shower stayed warm for about 2 minutes before going frigid cold and the toilet kept making a really loud noise (I assume since it was a grinder toilet) but it would happen any time water was running which is rather a lot.... Stayed in a standard double room for 4 nights. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, and the toilet/shower was nice and clean as well. The The interior is a little outdated and the bed is quite soft, but it's clean and usable. They provide free coffee and tea in the kitchen, but we went out for... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
