Very nice hotel, great location! You can get anywhere by foot. Breakfast was good. Room was nice but small. Little loud during the night, but I guess it is because of the great location - center of the city.

On arrival to this hotel the staff were very friendly and took or bags, check in was relatively quick and we got shown to our rooms with all information about breakfast given on the way. On arrival to the room there is no looking past the fact the rooms are very small, the air con just isn't powerful at all...

My friend and I recently stayed at the hotel Marmara. We were greeted at reception without a welcome or a smile. The bell boy just stood and watched us with our luggage. He was miserable and unhelpful. The room we had was nice, clean and tidy, new bedding and towels each day. But there was no tea and coffee maker...

A clean and attractive hotel, very central. Comfortable rooms where everything worked, no technical defects. Friendly and service minded staff always available for questions e.g. recommendation of restaurants, tourist attractions or book a taxi. The breakfast was varied, fresh bread. However, the quality of the coffee and juice was bad.

It's not the most luxurious hotel we've stayed in yet we've stayed at this hotel twice now and can't fault it especially for the price! Good location, nice rooms, lovely buffet breakfast, possibly some of the nicest staff I've come across on a city break and really excellent value. Would most definitely recommend, suitable for couples and families.

We got engaged on our trip and when we returned to the hotel they greeted us with complimentary champagne. An overall amazing time in Budapest and a very pleasant stay in hotel Marmara from start...

We booked the hotel for 2 nights on a mini break. Couldn't be easier to get to the hotel from the airport. 200E bus, Metro to main station and 5 mins walk (When walking in right direction!) and at a cost of £2 each!! Hotel and rooms modern. Very helpful staff at reception. Room clean and shower hot. No tea...

*Couple ages 22 and 24 from UK* Whilst arriving the door is revolting; be careful going in as the door moves so quick I caught my arm whilst trying to pull my luggage. This hotel was beautifully decorated and very modern/clean. Our room was also lovely with a comfy bed and the sheets/toiletries were changed everyday. Breakfast; for me breakfast...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
