Ours was a last minute booking, just 2 weeks prior to travel. We got a big, palacy room for 4 for just 2 occupants at a very good cost. Location is very good, very central. Entrance is very secret and took us a while to figure out. Clean neat place with good antique look with central terrace. Very good eateries... More

We were 5 nights at total in a split (at the middle of the trip we went for two days to Vienna). First we got a small room in the second floor with a window to the street which is quite noisy. When we came back, we got another room on the first floor - a larger room and that... More

Four days in Budapest with friends, it was clean and friendly, loud if on the 1st floor as no double glazing. If going in a group go in twin rooms not quads as they are newer with working aircon! Very central can easily walk to bars. Also above a Burger King! Perfect for late snacks....

We were staying 3 nights in this hotel, and we asked for silent room. And that's what we got! Room 305 was very nice and silent, we slept so well! Bed was nice and comfortable, room was very nice and tidy. Shower was working well.. I have nothing to complain. Stuff in hotell was very friendly. Location for this hotel... More

This is a backpackers hotel, it's simple, there is a bed and shower, that's it. It's not a hotel it's a room. The room was clean, shower was fine and I got a good sleep, I paid £20 per night and I think that's the max I would pay. It's a little noise as the main road is downstairs but... More

The location is topnotch, situated closeby to many restaurants, pubs, clubs and touristic sights!! For a family weekend we booked a 4 person room which was great value for money. Also, the staff is very friendly and did everything to retrieve my jacket which I happened to forgot in the cab. One minor detail is the breakfast which is not... More

When we travel we always go with the approach that the hotel is literally just the base and we would stop in the cheapest places we could find. Centrooms was really decent for the price we paid, the room was big, including a wardrobe, draws, a desk and chair, head height cupboards, air conditioning, a large bed (which was two... More

The rooms are very basic , tv and ensuite only. But the rooms are very clean and all the staff are extremely helpful. Fairly cheap as well. The location was perfect. 10 minute walk to the main attractions and two minutes from the main entertainment area (although there are bars and cafes on every street in budapest) I would stay... I and my wife stayed here for a few nights, it was really easy to find and quite cheap. The receptionists were very friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel is perfect, as it's in the middle of Pest right next to the main metro line and on a square with supermarkets/food outlets. The rooms are decent and clean,... More

Great location, next to metro and buses, old style building, modern interior, friendly staff, very clean and close to nightlife. The room I reserved was small since I was on a budget, but it was equipped with TV, free WiFi, mini fridge, air conditioning and a shower.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
