Hotel is close to pubs and Jewish part of the city. Rooms are comfortable and clean, staff is good. I was satisfied as a business traveller. If you are ready to pay more, I advise hotels next to Danube of course.

We stayed at the Continental, which is a cracking hotel. It is clean, has a nice spa, good food, classy bar and is situated just a short walk from one of the city's best Ruin bars and lots of other sites.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful at all times, never did we feel that they were not willing to go the extra mile. Breakfast is good and a vast array of food, would say to get there a little early to avoid the rush in the morning but none the less food is fresh and warm. The Araz restaurant is...

The Continental is probably one of the nicest hotels I have been to and the room I had was one of the most comfortable rooms I have stayed at a reasonable price, where everything is exquisite and excellent. The hotel provides a menu of pillows for our comfort which includes my favourite the famous Hungarian Goose Down or you might...

Great welcome and very attentive check in staff that helped with cabs, attractions, maps etc. Nice rooms, had a slight issue with aircon which meant we were sweltering for a couple of hours, which is the reason for 4 not 5 stars. Great central location and again good value.

Nicely appointed hotel. Location good for Metro and bars/ruin bars. Budapest has a relatively small city centre, so you aren't really too far from anywhere. Breakfast was comprehensive and included the usual hot/cold options (including porridge) and you could also order freshly made omelettes. Standard rooms are quite small without a particularly nice view (not that it bothered me too...

We had a fabulous stay at the hotel, The staff were attentive and polite. The standard double room was maybe a little small but was clean and well equipped. The breakfast was the best we've ever had in a hotel. If we return to Budapest we will definitely stay at The Continental again.

The area has lots of lovely restaurants and pubs nearby. There are a few ruin bars nearby - Szimpla Kert and another ruin bar are on streets nearby. Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
