Just got back from a long weekend break after staying at the Zara. On arrival we were checked in very efficiently, with polite and friendly staff, we were given a lovely room over looking the courtyard on the 1st floor. We did not eat in the hotel due to the weather being so nice, we preferred to eat in restaurants... More

My fiancé and I had an amazing experience in Hotel Continental Zara. When they found out we were celebrating our engagement they gave us a complimentary upgrade to the junior suite which was so kind and a fantastic experience! Breakfast was lovely each morning-lots of selection. Rooms were clean, modern and had everything you could need included. The hotel itself... More

We visited Budapest over the Easter weekend arriving Easter Sunday afternoon and leaving on the Wednesday afternoon. We found it to be a beautiful city. The Continental Hotel was excellent. At first when our taxi driver looped through many side streets to get there we were concerned that it would be out of the way but in fact it is... More

Derar ClaireKy, I cannot imagine any better review from a guest than yours. The title of your review is the best, it would be even good enough as a slogan for the Budapest Tourism Office. Neverless, I think the staff made there mission and it is really good if I can share such prasing words among them. Also thank you... More

This is the one of the best hotels which I visited. First of all - location, two metro stations near a hotel, few restaurants and cafes. The service is great, the stuff is very professional and guest-friendly. The room is clean and warm. I will recommend this hotel for all my friends. Thank you very much.

We stayed for 7 nights over Easter. Pleasant hotel overall, with friendly helpful staff. Our room was one of the smaller ones, but adequate and good value for the price we paid. The Gallery Bar is pleasant for a cocktail, and the restaurant very good. Centrally located in a very 'ordinary' street on the edge of the Jewish Quarter, but... More

I stayed here with my other half on a 4 nights stay , during April 2015. The hotel is very modern and stood out in the surrounding area. The staff were very polite and our room was modern and clean. Hotel Zara is within a 10 to 15 minute walk of the main shopping area and the river. Staff at... More

I travel a lot and stay in many hotels. Among all, this one was one of the best ones. The location is great, the hotel is really beautiful, the food is really upscale, as well as the cleanness. On top of that, the service is what makes this hotel one of my favorites. EVERYONE I have interacted with, from the... More

Spent 3 nights here over the Easter weekend. Beautiful building that has been refurbished but kept a lot of the original decor, including an amazing revolving door reception area. The room was small but perfectly formed. Breakfast was decent but random with what would be there one day and not the next which was a bit disappointing for a creature... More

I had read that some standard rooms were quite small so I booked a deluxe room as we were staying for five nights so wanted to be comfortable. Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
